ClamChecker.com is now closing and I will open source the code for anyone to build a digging assistance service easily.
I still support not taking away peoples free 4.6 CLAMS regardless of not having this service any more.

When you do work for someone who paid for it... it's no long YOUR code. I paid for it and I have a copy. It will be open sourced for the community by me. Everyone should want to assist people in growing the CLAM network and digging their coins. My stance on digging is still the same even without the website and being essentially scammed by xploited.

No, but my creativecuriosity account IS.
Why am I not shocked to see that account still totes a DiceBitcoin.com signature. Dicebitcoin.com was a HUGE scam site that was endorsed by dooglus. They got caught cheating and basically allowed Doog to withdraw their money before robbing everyone else. Everyone "gets" it. You aren't happy. If you have something on-topic and relevant to say about CLAM. Say it. Otherwise, please move on.

We are announcing the topic of the first of these petitions: the process and continuation of "digging" distribution CLAM. In the coming days, we will announce the timing, choices and assist users in properly submitting "votes" using the process.
The first petition will likely be simplified - but, we see this as an enduring way forward with governance.
This process will allow the entire community to ascertain what petitions have majority support among stakeholders (and is hence likely to succeed given completed code). The community can then proceed informed and collaborate on getting the code ready to submit to the community.
We invite the community to help us hone the list of choices prior to the start of the voting on this first petition.
Long Live The Great CLAM!
OK. I misread this and thought you were looking for suggestions in general, so right now discussion should be focussed on choices for the vote on "the process and continuation of "digging" distribution CLAM"...a decision which might make a fork redundant. Good. What are the ideas for the choices in the vote so far?

So now everyone involved in CLAMs has a negative trust next to their name because you kids have thrown the toys out of the pram? The trust system here is stupid, disagreements shouldn't result in negative trust which will undermine the whole CLAM project.

ClamChecker is closing You mean no one used your shitty-looking site you threw together in an afternoon? Praising yourself about how you're "In it for the community" but as soon as the price goes down you close up shop? I think we should keep discussing coin name ideas just so this idiotic parasite wastes all his money registering the domains for them.

Hi All,
I have about 5000 Addresses from < 2014 that I have backed up from 2010 onwards. I want to check these all to see if they are in the initial distribution list.
I am quite handy with programming but wondering what the best way to check a large amount of addresses are?
Is there a list of all Bitcoin addresses that were sent clams? the initial distribution list? that I can check against
Regards,

I've been asked to make my current thoughts clear.
I don't plan on making any kind of a new coin at the moment. SuperCLAM has stepped up and proposed a polling system (that I don't yet fully understand), and so I am willing to see how that pans out. If we as a community can use the forthcoming polling system to make changes that we want then I don't see the need for a new coin.
I'm not committing to never making a new coin, but I don't think it's likely that I will make one. CLAM is niche enough as it is without further splitting the community into two pieces.
Thanks for make that announcement. And if you plan in future to make a coin i hope u make a new snapshot, so we all can buy clam safetly.

Just dumping and importing the private keys from your addresses into the clam client is probably the simplest method I can think of - easy to script. Correct me if I am wrong, someone, and there is an easier way.

You don't need the whole block chain to check addresses. Up to block 10,000 should be fine. Not sure if there is a newer bootstrap available. Once you get to that point.

When I try to import my wallet. One wallet I have is from 2011, the other 3 are 2012. I get the below. It seems to freeze the client for a time, I assume this is when its importing and then nothing... Does this small red fail image come up when anyone else imports a wallet? is it just normal?

That would explain I guess.

or... you could just download the bootstrap file(s) up to the latest block then synch & redeem & stake from that point downloading the bootstrap probably will save your bandwith

No, if there was a balance on the address on the day then it would have been funded.
