What's happening with Dan Metcalf lately ? The temptation of fast bitcoins corrupted him ? I see that he uses his reputation to pump every shitcoin out there. Stealth, Key, Halcyon ? He even writes posts to their threads, hyping the audits, announcing the specific dates for the results. After he posted a message to halcyon thread, it went up 2 times in price. It baffles me. I've read this entire XC thread and the other old one and i thought he is legit. Almost disgusting to see this happening...
I've started a proof-of-code service, to review code and in the future will also be doing digital signatures on builds so that users can be assured that the wallet is clean and virus free. Yes it is a paid service that I'm doing in my spare-time. Dan Dan is helping verify that other coins that people are buying aren't just hot air. It's a win for crypto. Trust is a major issue in altcoins. It's very valuable to have someone perform the function Dan is performing here. It significantly diminishes the potential for FUD (and we all know how awful a FUDstorm can be for a young coin. XC had it the worst, didn't it? So we want to help eliminate the kind of abusive behaviour that almost sunk XC.) XC has always stood for moving crypto forward. This is another small way in which Dan does so.

It doesn't bother me at all that Dan reviews code of other altcoins. Honestly, I think it's a win for Xcurrency in the longrun because the more people who learn about Dan and his respected background, the more people will be introduced to XC.

+1 I agree with this sentiment for the most part, however, it is a fine line that Dan needs to walk so as to not compromise his commitment to XC, both actual and perceived. Also, he should be charging 3-5 btc worth (in equivalent coin) minimum for his services. Not 1-3 btc. Coin teams will pay 3-5 btc easily (and likely more) -- trust me on this.

Why on earth would it be baffling for the price to rise after the code is checked, if the code looks ok? Isn't that to be excpected? If the code was found to have problems the price would probably go down.

I totally agree. This only solidfies XC and it's community which also just solidifies his commitment in the crypto world and is pioneering for the future here.

Anyone know if there is a github that has X11 hashing in C#? Trying to make the C codes out there into interop DLL is killing me...

This is wonderful news. Maybe it's a good time to get more XC now rev2 is on the way. Congratulations for all the success and I am hoping it will bring XC to greater heights and unite the XC community. I am glad to be part of such a great coin and community.

Exactly and Dan has to eat.. Apple and google both started in a garage and I'm sure they did all they could to keep the cash flowing in fo fund and subsidiese the primary project. As long as its a sideline and does not impact release schedules I have no problem at all with Dan branching out...

Hi guys I just got 5.2 Btc on btc-e after a wire transfer but there is a fuking MONTH of Hold on them. they say it can be requested to be removed but the link for assistance does not work is there anyone in here knows how this process work and direct me to the correct link pr person to contact for this?
thank you
Edit:
I created a ticket trough support hope they will look at it speedy enough
I had issues with btc-e when there was the huge dds attack in january/feb and had 10 btc withdrawn from my account but the transfer never appeared on the blockchain. There we at least 10 of us in that position and the support is very slow - but they do get round to it eventually. Here is a link to that issue - you see that eventually they came good for us all so don't worry. http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1y7con/btce_not_sending_bitcoins_after_one_week_be/The other thing you can do is to post a reply on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=433283If you can google translate it into russian it seems to work faster - (I usually did an english and russian version in the same message). Also you can keep submitting tickets - my first one was never looked at but the second one suddenly worked. You can pm me if you need more advice - Thanks for this good to know next time gonna use local BTC for sure Why dont you use BitKonan? They are ultra professional service.

Could XCMixers also store XChat messages encrypted of cause and at a fee? Currently both sender and receiver has to be online and that's fine, but at a fee it could be saved for offline deliverance. XCMixers will be most likely to have a lot of uptime but the message should of cause be split up and spread across several mixers with redundancy for safety and security. Just a suggestion Bump, Teka Synechist?

1 week to rev 2... This is the week I expect it to really start hitting up... Is there a link to the incorporated features... Should be exciting.. I'm expecting whales to start showing up... These trolls are probably a precursor to that ... Get me cheap coins lads!!!
Just goes to show though... The attack vector of the fud now is so narrow it just comes across as totally desperate and childish.

Don't think there is a link yet cause well the announcement isn't out yet for what's in the final release, but... there is this new "undisclosed privacy" tech/feature that we will find out in a week.

When Dan is the go to guy for code review... how can XC be looked at in a bad light really puzzles me. People just don't realized yet that when XC gets to Rev 3 and beyond, there will be no competition.

What is the developers opinion on scripting on the blockchain (Turing complete a la Ethereum)?
I would appreciate some feedback on this... Good question. Maybe someone should answer this?

XC is currently number 15 here... http://coinmarketcap.com/ and if it's not the newest coin in the top 15 it is pretty close to it. That is no mean feat.
