Nowadays which algo worth to mine with 280x? i have mixed mind again.Groestl i never mined before,skein,skein2 or what? )) @pallas what u have? )) sad days, I had to turn off one nvidia rig :-( multipool and renting is a loss, so I turned to coin hunting. now I'm having fun solo mining half the blocks of a certain coin using myr-groestl with my optimised kernel ;-)

What miner are you using? From what I can tell, the quark/qubit optimized sgminer build is incapable of mining Lyra2REv2 (lacks the .cl files, can't recognize them if installed)

Is 290xt more efficient than 280x in mining Lyra2REv2, ie the high memory bandwidth is fully utilized?

Hello, I'm trying to get a rig up and running using a Radeon R9 380 on Windows 7. I'm using sgminer 5.1, AMD SDK 3.0, and Catalyst 15.20. It will connect to the pool, and sgminer shows hashing, but no shares are ever accepted. I've tried different pools, uninstalling/installing catalyst and amd sdk. I tried using another mining program, with basically the same results. This is what i have for my batch file: sgminer.exe --algorithm scrypt -o stratum+tcp://scrypt.usa.nicehash.com:3333 -u 1BceNw9f9wY8Vx9LNN1Dn1Xou4EjnUBkcf -p x Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to mine DGB with cgminer, algo was skein, two 280x and one 280, but my gpu usage stayed at 64% for all three gpus, cpu usage 100%! low end cpu e7400 with 6 GB ram windows 7 64 driver 15.7 any idea about this problem?
when i was running cgminer with my 290x card the cpu usage was 25%+ on my i5 4690k win7 64 16Gb ram this was kinda why i was trying to get sgminer to work before i switched to skein on the mining rig since that cpu is low haswell i3 either way its prolly no concern to u anymore since DGB is already not profitable anymore after electricity (nothing really worth mining on amd after electricity atm) if u still mining it tho i was using cgminer 3.7.3 u can pretty much lower a bunch of settings, underclock core, prolly undervolt too, and still hit 289Mh with 290x no matter what i did this didnt change so dunno if cgminer was bypassing setting or what

This may not be related because I'm on LINUX with an R9 290 GPU, but: Yesturday I upgraded from Catalyst 15.5 to Catalyst 15.20 and I had the same problem with the X11 algorithm. sgminer would hash away at 7 MH/s without any problem, but it would never accept any shares. I changed sgminer versions, kernels and .bin(s) to no avail. The only thing that worked was to go back to a previous Catalyst version that I had at hand (14.6).
