So the Ethman will display ETH and XMR rigs on the same dashboard? This will be great and will be a huge benifit running multi rigs. Yes it will work. But if you have both ETH and XMR rigs in same dashboard it will incorrectly calculate total hashrate (it just adds all hashrates for all ETH and XMR rigs) and display "MH/s" instead of "KH/s" for XMR. EthMan has option for speed units but you cannot set if for every rig personally, only for all rigs at once. OK - thats good for me... as long as management dashboard is centralized. Just a thought, maybe just combining ETH and XMR dual mining with DCR/SIA/LBRY, all together as one single Claymore project would be best as this will be more productive from coding, maintaining, development side of things and giving miners choice of coins to mine. Today, ETH and XMR are hot ASIC resistant coins that are above 10$, excludes DASH, LTC etc. maybe soon.... we will see ETH, XMR Dual Miner with DCR, SIA and LBRY or just call it "Claymore Dual Multi-miner" But could XMR be dual miner with LBC/DCR/SIA? or may it be better coins to dual mine with XMR? as I understand it from Claymore's past posting.... Cryptonight is also a memory intensive algo, just like ETHash for ETH mining... so the two will compete with memory - not a good idea. So XMR mining with 2nd coins like LBC, DCR, SIA will surely be feasible. OK ok I understood, but I only wonder if XMR use exact the same "piece" of memory as Ethash

Claymore, could be Monero dual mined with any other coin? Like ETHash with SIA/LBR/DCR ? Are such cryptocurrency that can be mined with Monero?
Yes. Just a thought, maybe just combining ETH and XMR dual mining with DCR/SIA/LBRY, all together as one single Claymore project would be best as this will be more productive from coding, maintaining, development side of things and giving miners choice of coins to mine. Today, ETH and XMR are hot ASIC resistant coins that are above 10$, excludes DASH, LTC etc. maybe soon.... we will see ETH, XMR Dual Miner with DCR, SIA and LBRY or just call it "Claymore Dual Multi-miner" Yes I think you will see it, in a few weeks, it's quite a lot of work, but I'm working on it already. To speedup it, may be I will release intermediate versions with partial dual mining support for XMR. Would love this, I'd definitely use intermediate versions if available.

XMR doesnt use the memory as intensive as ETH so there might be a chance that XMR and ETH can mine together... hmmmm this is getting interesting. If only Claymore can give us a clue on the new miner features?

ETH+XMR will not work properly.
but maybe option to set ETH on one card and XMR on another? ;P Or, alternatively you can specify how long rig will mine ETH and how long XMR smth like mteth -mm (mining time in minutes, where mm time for ETH, while XMR=60-mm)

Hello Claymore. Help me. I have a graphics card sapphire vapor r9 280x. You wrote that it should give speed - 550 h/s. I have a 481 h/s. Why? My settings- video driver v15.30, Set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100,Set Virtual Memory 16 GB. HashCnt=832 -a 4
What to do? Thank you.Vitaliy

Probably your card has slow Elpida memory.

from the first post/read me PERFORMANCE About 810 h/s on stock 290X (Hynix memory). About 710 h/s on stock 290X (Elpida memory). About 690 h/s on stock 290 (Elpida memory). About 550 h/s on stock 280X (Hynix memory). About 440 h/s on stock 270X (Elpida memory). About 410 h/s on stock 270 (Elpida memory). Hynix/Elpida is the manufacturer/brand of VRAM on your card, you can't change it. Just out of interest for anyone, XFX RX 480 Black edition cards are showing Samsung memory

Yes that is the general rule. in all tests i have seen people post the Elipida does not do as well as Hynix, and Samsung is marginally better than the Hynix. You can check what memory type you have using GPU-Z, should say Memory Type : DDR5(Insert brand here) etc

630h/s out of the box, pulling around 100w per card. Thats my experience anyway. Others have posted similar results.

630h/s out of the box, pulling around 100w per card. Thats my experience anyway. Others have posted similar results. when XMR was hot a few weeks ago, I converted my 6 x 480 rig from ETH to XMR. Using -h 1024 settings, 3500-3600 h/s total hash on average. Observations: 1. draws much less power 2. less heat and fan rpms
