use "-r 1" and reboot.bat with shutdown /r /t 5 /f - problem solved
(better yet fix your card settings)

which settings I should use with my cards? This gave me most hashes but apparently is randomly unstable

I'm getting 750+h on ref480 8gb at around 1180:1975@0.9v (1500 straps) but you've got to find whats good for your cards and platform  

with that clocks on 0.9V (900mV) your cards working stable?

hi

i received an rx480 sapphire nitro 4G but does not look good    it s slower than my 470's 4g and it use lot more power

i notice it has Hynix memory, looks not great  the 470's have elpida what i was able to mod easily
get some more than 700mh with the 470 1220gpu 1920memory

rx480 original bios it run at 1320/1950 get 600mh only, can slow down the gpu to 1270 for same speed

i used polaris bios editor for the rx480 but cannot see the memory frequencies

so i tested all the 6 last timing, the slowest one was working but speed not great
and the 5 last timing they all crash
i gonna test 1 or 2 slower but i guess it s not gonna be great

i ve got the rx480 cheaper but  same price than the 470 but if it s slower it s not great  

I fucking love Hynix - haven't tried Elpida yet.

i send the 480 back and get an other 470

Did you try to mod the memory timings in bios? I got ~740MH/s for all of my a Sapphire ref. 470 4GB cards. And don't forget: CN miner isn't optimized for Polaris cards (yet).

what are your setting for the 470?
my 470 are moded  not sure anymore what timing i used, i did it for zec mining but get 702 mh here

i m doing some new testing, i found better timing, 767 h now need to test if it don t crash

Cause Im guessing its already pushed to its limit. Besides you have wolf0's miner which gives you a +2% - +5% better performance with 0% fees. And ZEC has Optiminer doing 290 h/s, so obviously Id prioritise optimising what is still relevant in terms of my income.

I wanted to try wolf0's miner but I never ran it successfully, I set up everything in config file but when I click on  miner.exe it start and turn off immediately

Do I need to delete other algorithms from folder (blake, groestl)?

Claymore never optimized this miner for the 4xx GPUs

I don't think it can be optimized miner side. From what I read from Elivop / wolf0's threads, the timings of CAS and RAS needs to be altered to get your mining speed of rx480/470 to 850 h/s stable with 900 - 950mv.
Im trying to learn the hex to CAS / RAS and all the other crap, but Im not too smart as they are. The closest I got was 810 h/s on MSI Armor 480 with samsung. But I was just shooting in the dark.

i use the 1375 timing bios @ 1920 memory for 767mh  stable for more than a day
for the sapphir 470 4G   if your board support higher memory speed than speed faster
but mine it s 1930 for the worse and 1950 for the best   so i run 1920
