Yesterday I did send some XEM to mine Poloniex account but the coins still didn't arrive in mine wallet, since today they show the quoted message when you look at the XEM market and their wallet is disabled. XEM is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the XEM team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling.
Any information about this would be appreciated since I don't hope that mine coins will be locked for a long period. The Poloniex XEM wallet is back online after a few hours maintenance they accept again deposits and withdraws, only really strange that mine transaction still didn't arrive in mine wallet. Don't see anything wrong with this transaction, did withdraw this coins from Binance to Poloniex. XEM deposit: http://explorer.ournem.com/#/s_tx?hash=82071e85937b0308e2cbaa913bdffbe74e9c683752ebfed0cb9e7d075688d76dThat is POLO.I am sure the price of the coin was higher on polo than in many exchanges. That is polo. I stopped trading on their plateform. They made me lost a lot of more by delaying my deposits or withdrawal. No more polo for me.
They got bought out by Circle, hopefully they can up their game over the coming months. You can be right since this would be not the first time that they had dubious actions that leaded to locked funds and endless pending support tickets.

Just wanted to update everyone here on the hackers funds. He has nearly drained the bulk of XEM. About ~20 mill remaining in the wallet he's draining now. + An additional 16mill that hasn't been moved. Maybe the 16mil is his retirement fund? So he's almost out! That is a significant drop from the 130mil he had yesterday! It sure seems like we would see some price movement upward once he's done flooding the market! Especially with NEM being exposed to so many new people, on Binance. I have been surprised how many traders hadn't even heard of NEM! Has he transferred the most coins to exchanges or to other user accounts (which he may possess) ?

Who believes that in the near future NEM will reach 10000-15000 Satoshi? We see a strong drawdown, but how can there be growth?

binance officially declared the news from nikkei.com as fake.
What is crazy, is when I shared this. There were fake "Official Binance" reports claiming the news was fake. Glad that the official Official Binance report came out! @codemanX - I've received 616 XEM total in donations. Hopefully this is the final update on the hacker until he's caught:Hacker funds are drained, as well as all of his large customers. There are some addresses scattered about which have trivial amounts of XEM. - 6k here, 200 there, 9k under the rug, and 32 in the ashtray. The rest has been sold on exchanges! This is the final hacker address. His savings fund for when he goes broke: >>HERE<<

I remember when it was 30 satoshi... the step from 3000 to 10000 is smaller than the grow already happened.

I remember when 30 satoshi was like "oh my god, is xem this high?!". Lol at me now.. The very first price ever paid for XEM when it launched on Poloniex was 10,000 satoshis. I weren't too impressed with 30 myself. But I did buy a little more.

From NEM Official ⚠️ PHISHING ALERT ⚠️ Someone’s sending a message to random NEM accounts saying that they’ve won a huge amount of XEM. Please do not fall for this kind of tactic! Scammer’s NEM Address: NCTA4FV4UZTZEKYQH7S57UASIV4BMNP273KINSJK https://twitter.com/NEMofficial

it would only need to reach its ATH again. No doubt about that if you compare the growth to the one last year

Is this fud? The article says nothing about NEM or XEM. It is one of many articles which reports something about governments which want to stop crypto currencies and some of them even blockchain technology. Don't think they will succeed longterm.

What is curious for me, where is the expected growth (of NEM marketcap) now ? Of course, lot of FUD and uncertainty is still here in all the cryptospace, but during the hard dumping process (of hacker funds) we were (+/) staying on the same level (at least for past several days), so I expected that buy orders will dominated over the sell walls now (when the dump is gone). But it doesn't happen till now, we have hardest fall (in %7days comparison) from whole TOP20 currencies and we're very close to switch 13th and 14th position (with TRON currency). Weird...

I see there are people trying to get us to sign up on the sketchy "exchange" CryptalDash, by saying we need to "Vote for NEM." - In order to vote, one has to sign up on their platform. There are people spamming forums all over with this garbage. Please, do not follow their links. NEM does not want or need businesses that conduct themselves in this manner. If you want to get behind a real project that is worth your time, and will help NEM network: join MyCoinvest! You can participate in the Airdrop, as well as complete tasks to earn CVZ. I've talked to the devs, and have been impressed with their fast responses and ability to handle criticism. This looks like a much more promising project than Bankera. "MyCoinVest will utilize the NEM Blockchain. This project will add to and benefit from the entire NEM Ecosystem with the possibilty to exchange CVZ for XEM and even other crypto currencies and fiat (USD), and vice versa. This exchange will be done in the Vezclub Marketplace alongside the setting and fulfilling of savings goals between users on the same platform."Join MyCoinvest Here:https://www.mycoinvest.tech/vezcoin-airdrop-sign-up/--Lots of FUD news out past couple days! - Especially in Japan, which is our biggest area of support. This has put a damper on XEM price growth. However, this gives us an extended period to buy more cheap XEM, if you haven't already had your fill! If bitcoin price starts to increase, and the FUD news is officially put to rest, we can begin our journey North, slaying bears and short term speculators along the way. We are very much so in a market of short term investors right now. 200million XEM sold in 2 days wasn't all sold to long term Hodlers! As price moves up, we hit certain thresholds where once one short term bag dumps, more and more follow suit. Resulting in a waves pattern on the charts. This is exactly what I expected, though I thought the median price would be higher. Additionally, news outlets are not reporting an accurate status of Hacker's coin. I have written to several places directly - including Coinbase. We will see if they follow up on the info I provided and put out a better news story. @KloNEM - I'm guessing that Lots of people expected the same thing, and there were temporary buy walls. When things didn't immediately moon, they removed buy orders. Now is opportunity for them to buy cheaper, as FUD sellers, or short termers are looking to dump, and get in on TRX or something else with rapid gains right now. General sentiment is that NEM will show great returns - but everyone is asking WHEN!?

Out of traditional top 10ers NEM has the thinnest market and weediest hands, and that's before something like the hack. There's little consistency to its trading compared to others. I think it's something people are more inclined to pick up and rapidly drop. I'm impressed it took that much selling without being completely squished all the same. Maybe it's back to sleep for a while for future triumphs.

Hi. Novice here. Thanks in advance. I have a private key of a password protected NEM windows wallet. The device is now unusable. Can I claim the tokens it holds just by providing the private key to an android wallet or do I need to remeber the password too? I think I've forgotten the password but I do have the private key.

What exactly do you have, a .wlt file? If that's the case it'll be encrypted by the password. If you don't have the password then you won't be able to open it.

I simply withdrew XEM from Poloniex (their every day limit sucks), after several weeks of not really being in a position to do that.

Yes you can import Private Key very easy. The password is encrypted in the full wallet data. When creating a new wallet, you should back up private key, password, and full wallet data. The safest way to do this is to copy it into a simple text program, print it, and put it in a fire-resistant safe. If you lost your password, you might be able to brute-force it. Any information regarding which characters were used would be helpful. - So if you don't know exact password, but some idea of what it might be, write down those ideas before forgetting.
