well, so with nanowallet it's not possible import a wallet with a private key? Well, that's really strange. Now i can't check because i'm not home, but i will check later.
Of course. But most people won't have a raw private key written down. They'll have a .wlt file instead.

Confirmed: The news from Nikkei was not false. And Binance is responding: https://cointelegraph.com/news/major-crypto-exchange-binance-to-open-office-in-malta-after-japanese-regulator-warning@gentlemand - I don't know why most would not save their private key. This is a lesson that has been drilled upon since dawn of bitcoin. It is very very important. And with electronic failures, it is important to make a physical copy. - And with passwords, there is no "Click here if you forgot your password" button on a wallet. If you are just toying with trivial amounts, it might not be a big deal to have backups, but anyone serious about keeping anything of value needs to follow the standard procedure.

Hi. Novice here. Thanks in advance. I have a private key of a password protected NEM windows wallet. The device is now unusable. Can I claim the tokens it holds just by providing the private key to an android wallet or do I need to remeber the password too? I think I've forgotten the password but I do have the private key.
What exactly do you have, a .wlt file? If that's the case it'll be encrypted by the password. If you don't have the password then you won't be able to open it. well, so with nanowallet it's not possible import a wallet with a private key? Well, that's really strange. Now i can't check because i'm not home, but i will check later. Yes, it's possibile: SIGN UP -> Private Key wallet -> Ready -> Next -> input any name you like -> Next -> enter a password (twice) -> Next -> input your private key -> Next As long as you have a backup of your private key you are fine

If there is an additional bigger eliminate in the future, it really is definitely great opportunity to purchase.

There are no burns planned, but XEM is deflationary currency. Total amount is 9billion, already created and issued, and no more ever to be created in the future. I really don't see XEM price being this low ever again. We are slowly killing the bears and short termers, and buy walls are forming on all exchanges. Japan will be waking up in couple hours, and should see further acceleration. And once the momentum starts... That's when the doubters get FOMO I plan to hold long term, so short term price isn't really so important to me, other than seeing enthusiasm and confidence regaining. NEM is the best smart asset chain available right now, and has so many good things going. The most undervalued coin IMO.

Who believes that in the near future NEM will reach 10000-15000 Satoshi? We see a strong drawdown, but how can there be growth?
I remember when it was 30 satoshi... the step from 3000 to 10000 is smaller than the grow already happened. In general, do you believe in growth to 10000 sat? How do you think, how soon will we see rapid growth?

binance officially declared the news from nikkei.com as fake.
What is crazy, is when I shared this. There were fake "Official Binance" reports claiming the news was fake. Glad that the official Official Binance report came out! @codemanX - I've received 616 XEM total in donations. Hopefully this is the final update on the hacker until he's caught:Hacker funds are drained, as well as all of his large customers. There are some addresses scattered about which have trivial amounts of XEM. - 6k here, 200 there, 9k under the rug, and 32 in the ashtray. The rest has been sold on exchanges! This is the final hacker address. His savings fund for when he goes broke: >>HERE<<Appreciate the updates on the hacker funds. So we know that the funds have moved to exchanges, but how do you know they've actually been sold?

I timed 100s of transactions to exchange address, then watched for dump. 9 times out of 10 could see the dump happen in real time. Often the same exact amount as transfered. A lot of people were buying stolen XEM on darknet market for 30% discount, transfered to exchange, dump, and repeat. Knowing they were doing something illegal, I doubt many left xem on exchanges. Additionally, the daily volume reflects the dumping.

All I can say is, if you don't have the patience or ability to hold through a sustained downturn lasting several years, perhaps this isn't the right asset class for you. Crypto is a long-term play with lots of short-term 'crashes'.

It's insulting to realize, but this coin will have to get out a long time from the bottom, because of the news that were earlier

With you it agrees. Events which took place quite recently strongly influenced the project negative impact and respectively on the price. Still the project positioned itself as a guarantee to success, thought there will be a big future.

NEM is certainly worth considering as a long-term investment.

However, soon we should see a number of positive news and an increase in the price.

The best you can do is position yourself so that you get the most reward for risk that you're taking, and making sure you don't run into a risk of ruin event. In general, when you're evaluating crypto, make sure you understand the asymmetry of risk/return and position your portfolio accordingly.
