Well the S3's destroyed my Thermaltake 600W PSUs which had previously been powering cubes without any issues. They ran fine with them for about 30 minutes although cables were getting pretty hot, not 100% sure why it killed them yet. One PSU went peacefully, the other gave a nice fireworks display.  Ended up using a Corsair RM1000 to power both and they have been running pretty good since, with no hot cables.  For the past few days one S3 was only avging 380GHs and showed no 'x' and everything looked fine but after a reboot it kicked it somewhat back in gear. Currently around 430GHs avg now. The other has been running fine avging 440GHs. No overclocking attempts at this point. Where you using the 600W for running both? If so it would have been to much power draw for the power supply to handle. The S3 that is having issues it might be good to try re-flashing/updating the firmware. One 600W per S3, I wouldn't attempt to power 2 on a 600W - the mathematics just don't work out.  Didn't realize there was a firmware update already but I will give this a try, thanks! I've been running my S3 on a 550 PSU for over 5 days no issues.. Are you SURE you didn't connect them all to the same rail..? The CPU plug must be cut off and wired into a 6pin PCI plug as that is the second rail.. if you just attempt to use one rail.. YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A BAD TIME. |

yeah but right now these overclock like shit. So use 2 cables and power 3 with the evga
I've been wondering. Is it really worth trying to OC these? Is the risk worth the result? By OCing you: 1 - void your warranty 2 - risk damaging your Ant 3 - use more electricity 4 - generate more heat 5 - need to use 2x the PSU cables All for a measly increase in hashrate? M Not worth it at all, but some people just like to push it to the limit. I guess it also depends on whether you want to milk the hardware down to every single last milihash worth before difficulty skyrockets, or be content with letting it run at stock hoping that hardware wouldn't break down prematurely. I am running them at 212.5 . Hash runs close to 870 for the 2 power settled at 648 watts for 2 run cool 39-40c run pretty quiet fans at 1700 very stable  very little errors  |

I have doubts about what pool to use...
Last messages i see you use btcguild, coincadence... mmmmmmmm i was using Slush´s pool but i really dont know which one is better.
Btcguild works well? long blocks of 24 hours or more often?

I got an email from Bitmain indicating that my B3 units have shipped. But UPS is still showing the shipment in "label created" mode for the third day straight.

I have a bit of a problem. Hoping someone can help, I'm fine with computers but have no clue when it comes to network addresses etc.
To start with, I couldn't change the routers subnet so I went through a direct PC connection. Logged into the Ant fine & changed to DCHP. The Ant still had 192.168.1.99/24 as the IPv4 address at that time.
Here's where I went wrong perhaps, I had to connect to the internet again to get details for my pool (having to disconnect from the Ants), and since then I haven't been able to re-login to the Antminers. I've tried resetting them and trying to find them via the router, but they are not there. Anyone have any idea what went wrong/how I can login to them again pls?

Question for you S3 owners.
What is considered the "overclocked" speeds that require 4 PCI-e connectors?
Many power supplies are a pain now a days, I don't know what to do if I plan on running 2 off one PSU because 8PCI-E cables is really not the norm.
On the Supernova 1300 G2 by EVGA it has 6 PCI-E 8pins, and not enough molex to do a molex to pci-e adaptor. Also curious what kind of PSU you all are using for these units.
Any advice will be great, thanks in advance!
the evga has six cables 4 single cables and 2 double cables…… you can use 2 single cables and a double cable filling all 4 jacks. Been there done that. As for overclock 225 237 250 = overclock. That is sort of the thing, 1300W psu to power 2 of these sucks! Is there a go-to power supply people have been using to power 2-3 2-4 of these things? I run 3 on the evga 1300G2, OC'ing does not affect my miners so I only need 2 pci-e per machine. |

The only issue with ordering directly from Bitmain is that they don't take PayPal, only Bec and I don't have any since I am new to this. Plus PayPal is very easy to use.
When I need Btc, I just go here and find some to buy: https://localbitcoins.com/I find paying a little extra for the Btc is cheaper than buying form someone with Paypal. Check it out for your self and see which way would work best for you. |

Any chance you are you using Safari? I think Safari was screwing with the changes being applied or something because I had issues setting a static IP... it wouldn't take hold and eventually after re-saving multiple times, I couldn't connect to it at all. Holding reset for 20+ seconds (no clue how long its supposed to take, I default to 20 seconds  ) got it reset for me back to .99 |

What power supplies are you guys using to power your units?
I'm running two at stock speeds. Each one is on a corsair 500. They are running well, but it will be another day or two before I can check the power draw at the wall. |

Download Advanced IP Scanner and run that. It should find your Ant. thanks for your reply. Funnily enough I had just run that software, but Ants are not found :/ Which is weird because the lights are happily flashing away & I'm sure they're mining to Bitmain's account no problem over my network somehow. |

I did try them one at a time, but without knowing their current ip it's not really possible to change the static ip. The reason I did DCHP to start was because I was unable to change the router setting so only choice was to do direct connection. Maybe I'll try resetting them, powering them down overnight & try again in morning |
