My Batch 1 order finally shipped!! Ordered :2014-06-30 22:04:41 Paid :2014-06-30 22:10:30 Shipped :2014-07-19 10:08:07 Batch 2 is shipping too. Looks like I paid extra so I could say I was part of Batch 1. Me too. A bunch of us for that matter. Lets hope they fixed some of the bugs on this latest shipment. Otherwise we paid more than the batch 2 people for the same delivery time frame. Ya I got a feeling they didn't do anything to the units, we just overpaid for our batch 1 giving us same batch 2 shipping timeframe Unless we get an update from bitmain, I guess we will find out Tuesday. Tuesday night for me as I have to work late that day.

BEEPING so annoying I understand it maybe HW errors or Loss of connections I have set the Beeping to False under miner config But still beeping Anyone got a solution ??
i just got my batch 1 miners and i modded each of them slightly. I added the wireless antenna and the hole so it can be attached to the case near the ethernet plug since i will mostly be using wifi…..but your issue is one i noticed and it scared the shit outta me so i took the cover back off and remove the internal speaker from the controller board. It isnt hard to do at all and even a cheap $10 soldering iron will work just do the following: 1. remove the main cover by unscrewing the 5 screws on either sode of the cover. 2. remove the 2 cabled attached to the controller from the hashing board end…..dont remove the cables from the controller because if left attached to the hashing boards it would be in the way when trying to remove the controller so this way you dont have to fully unhook the 2 cables all together. 3. remove the 4 screws holding the controller down and lift it out. 4. near the ethernet connection you will see a black cylindar with a silver looking hole right in the center. That is the speaker. flip it over and locate the 2 pins needing to be hit with the soldering iron and while holding the board apply slight preasure to the side with the pin your hitting first with the soldering iron….not alot just enough to lift that side slightly then do the same to the other side then go back to the first side then back to the second side and follow that "rocking chair" type motion until one of the pins comes out and then you can heat the other pin while lifting straight op and ultimately removing the speaker. i have a metcal system and it only takes 10-15 seconds to be heated up and it literally took me less time to remove the speaker then it did to heat up the iron lol but if your not used to soldering then dont be afraid to take your time…..its not a race and you want to be as gentle as posible and you want everything to be done neatly so it can be reattached later on if you choose to sell it. I do this to all my antminers because the beeping gets on my effin nerves!! but if you want to stop the annoying beeping this is the way to go!

Bitmain is behind on shipping the first 3 batches out.

Does anyone know what I should put in the "use custom DNS server" box?
Should I leave it blank?
A friend of mine, ChuckBuck would tell you to put 8.8.8.8 but I don't think it really matters, you can use the usual, 192,168.1.1 if you want. I like the 8's because it's an alternative backup plan that works. -- That said, I got confirmation from UPS today so I should get it by next weekend, which is what I was expecting from day 1 anyways. Anyone from Canada got their S3 orders already who know what the import cost per unit is? I know we're not on laws like UK but is it still considered as a "Computer Game Gateway" like the S1 was? I don't know anything about VAT laws and such but here in Canada, we only have a 10% sales tax at the border. Thanks. I am also curious on the import fees for Canada & the USA,

It's quite depressing having a B1 order with tracking saying it'll deliver later than some B2's :-(

But since I'm in batch 3, I've got a while to wait before configuring my units... What pool are you using? From what I can tell the BTCGuild recommendation falls between 256 and 512. But I'm suspicious of guidelines that don't take into account the fact that ASIC units have multiple chips and are not one monolithic unit.

Hello, my net has following specification
IP address 10.217.73.xxx
Subnet mask 255.255.248.0
Gateway 10.217.72.1
Someone can tell me what to do to configure the S3?
Ifwell understood i should connect directly the unit to the PC and set these values:
IP address 10.217.73.xxy
Subnet mask 255.255.248.0 (the same) Gateway also the same of the PC DNS primary 8.8.8.8 ? DNS secondary ?
Am I right? TK

Correct, provided xxy is not in use on your network already. Have you already connected to it's default address of 192.168.1.99 for the initial configuration ?

I saw on the website can not be in order. how do I book at bitmaintech? Some guys who have orders in on batch 1,2,3 have listed them on ebay might want to check there that's your only choice right now to get them in hand early until he re-opens batch 4 once all batch 1,2,3 orders are filled and shipped which probably wont be for at least a week

Once you know the IP Scheme usually 192.168.0.XXX set your pc to an ip in that block ie: 192.168.0.200 then use a utility such as Advanced IP Scanner to do a ping of all addresses from 192.168.0.1-192.168.0.254 and it will list all the devices that reply and let you link quickly to there web interface right from the app
