Anyone compiling or with questions jump onto #hyperstake on freenode.
Be there after I grab some more coffee.

I was trying to be polite, but since you mentioned it... YES!!! Dammit. I made money on that fiasco, but it WAS a fiasco! A fiasco with a nice wallet. When you have nothing to bring, make it shiny, people won't notice Plus, they started the whole "nice wallet" narrative. Glad I did not have any SYNC (I was busy hoarding monero).

Update for everyone... The mature block I was saving to stake the forked block with... acidentally staked a few blocks before the fork time - just our luck.
I have a block that is less stake weight that is competing with the network to stake and once it gets the stake it should fork it with the new value. Feel free to also try to get the first forked block. You can use my version of the .exe - right now it still uses the truckcoin appdata directory, so back it up first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please beware this is just a temporary version of the wallet.
Use at your own risk - and startup with the switch -connect=192.241.233.70

How do we know when the coin has forked? And do we have an ETA on a complied Windows wallet? I do not know how to do that stuff myself.

I have same number of blocks with TRK. Is it normal? Completely normal, since for the moment HYP is really a renamed TRK.

Right now they are both still the same coin. I had a block ready to stake right away but I accidentally let it stake right before the switch in the code. So now I have to wait for the next stake. It could take an hour or it could take a day. So just be patient for now and check back in a bit. I have to be AFK for a few hours and will check back to see if it finally stakes. Anyone else with mature blocks can attempt to fork with the new wallet as well.

if you are using that in .conf, just change it to addnode=192.241.233.70 and still are on the same chain for now

I'm a bit confused as to what I should do now. I have the new wallet running with -connect 192.241.233.70, I have a few HYP in my wallet, but I'm not sure how to set those coins to stake. Stake says 0.00. I see the OP says the min age is 8 days, does this mean I have to run my wallet open for 8 days and it will start staking automatically ? Or do I ahve to do something to move the balance to stake ?

anyone using linux to compile make sure you comment out the windows build instructs on the .pro Oneline compile (assuming you have the right dependancies): mkdir -p ~/cryptos ; cd ~/cryptos && rm -rf HyperStake && git clone git://github.com/presstab/HyperStake && cd HyperStake && qmake-qt4 HyperStake-qt.pro && make && ln -s ~/cryptos/HyperStake/HyperStake-qt ~/Desktop/HYP This will create a folder called "cryptos" if it doesn't exist, then inside will download the source and compile it. Finally, it will create a link on your desktop (if you are not using an English Linux, change "Desktop" accordingly) Normally, it should NOT work out of the box; it needs a HyperStake-qt-linux.pro file to be comitted to gihub - the same as HyperStake-qt.pro but with the Windows-specific part commented out. I don't know how to commit to github, so if some know, please do. Once done, the correct code will be: mkdir -p ~/cryptos ; cd ~/cryptos && rm -rf HyperStake && git clone git://github.com/presstab/HyperStake && cd HyperStake && qmake-qt4 HyperStake-qt-linux.pro && make && ln -s ~/cryptos/HyperStake/HyperStake-qt ~/Desktop/HYP
