Corsair is a great PSU, I also use EVGA 1300's (3 S3's per), what happened with yours? I've been happy with them...

RM1000 or EVGA 1300 both work great for me never had a single problem.

not really. i pay 0.064 and it was not worth it at ~$330 BTC

dpends on how optimistic you are regarding price and network difficulty growth slowing down over the next 12 months. At $0.13 USD/kwh my assumptions include >$1000 by 2016 and difficulty growth sticking around 4-5%/jump for the next while, at least until price growth. Theres also the fact that hardware often sells used for 2-3x its mining value near the end of its life. Right now, S3 units are still selling for $200 and the S1 goes for ~$50 on sites like kijiji, craigslist, ebay, despite the fact you can get new hardware that is similar hashrates but more efficient for similar $/GH.

all i can say is good luck to you LOL. im not going to pay $700 a month in power bills hoping to make money some time down the road maybe (probably not)

s1 are not going for $50 on ebay. maybe in including shipping.

i sold 70+ of them for about $20-$25 on ebay a couple weeks ago.

and the s3s for $150-$180 including shipping

It's a 1000 sq foot basement, unfinished because of mining operations, nothing to catch on fire if a miner throws a rod. (and they do!) The miners also provide heat now it's 5-10 degrees out After it gets warm out it is probably cheaper just to buy BTC and finish the basement.

Always liked your setup. My miners are not in the basement because of leaks, how effective is that BlueMax stuff?

Bluemax is awesome. It can be used on the walls as I have here, or you can use it on outside foundation as well. It acts like rubber and actually can expand and contract/stretch. My basement has 2 sump pumps and a backup water powered pump as well. The basement is always pretty dry now, but I am the type who leaves nothing to chance... I had a radon fan installed, and plexiglass lids put on the sump pumps. The gray one you see is the water powered pump, below that is a Zoler Die case metal pump.... I plan to use 2" XPS on the walls and then use Delta FL on the floors.... For any leaks, remove old cement and use Hydraulic Cement before coating with blue...

Even if you did have a leak it would be dried up from the heat of the miners if you have enough of them. Feel free to PM me photos of before/after.

Get a good one, high amount of joules protection. At least with my university they required mac address to connect to the network, you might have to run the miners through a pi and at worst case scenario buy a hotspot.

We are all delusional. Now, since bitcoin is in the dumps and most people are losing money actually keeping them running we start to call them our heaters in the winter time in the US. It's like we make up excuses to keep them running when we all know an efficient heating system in a house is much better hear then a few electrical spot heaters around making tons of noise.

Well, now is the good time to hash, with diff going flat and rev. still 25 per block. As for noise just buy BFL Monarch and UNDERCLOCK:

IT WORKS!

- Download putty.
- Then run it and switch the radio button from SSH to serial.
- Enter the COM port that your miner is on and 9600 as Speed.

codes V0X and F1X for lowest voltage and frequency

- Press Open, then PASTE the code (do not type) and click another window then go back to putty you should see OK, close the window.

get a whole house surge protector installed in/next to your breaker box to prevent nasty stuff from coming in over the utility line. then use decent surge protector strips as needed to prevent inside high load stuff (fridge/HVAC/pumps etc) from messing with power.
