So would a bitseed be worth getting to setup a node? Might get 2 more S3+'s at some point.

I did so on the eventual demise of my titan miners works fine the bitseed v2 250gh version

prob pay 80 bucks more then you should building your own (assuming shipping for pi parts etc the same)

but as a toy and lazy mans way of doing it works good

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

What you mean those are not the miners? Smiley.   Lego's really are great for all ages though.

I know I went for a bit with a lego case on my RPI.  Eventually I just got a cheap  case to put it in, but as kinda fun to have the mini figures on top.

Yeah...be jealous:

...I'm gonna go cry in the corner now.  Cry

I wish I had enough money for even a decent USB hub with some bitmain or scrypt miners...but nah Sad  being a poor college kid is hard.

Can anyone give me advice - on if it's even worth the chance mining a certain coin with this crappy sha256 miner?

Anything REALLY super cheap I could buy so I'm not so pathetic?!

Define really super cheap?  I have a feeling anwser is no.  But not sure what figure you had in mind

As far mining with it... chances of hitting block are as you know very low.  And pool mining you won't reac min on most with it.  So it really is if your enjoying it as it's not going to pull a profit.

Honestly just solo mine with it. There is a chance you could hit a block, small but why not? Don't buy a miner, it is a zero sum game. Buy some bitcoins instead. Or a hooker. Or two.

Thanks. Smiley I used to have about 60 7970s back in the scrypt glory days (late 2012 to mid 2013ish), needless to say that they are all paid off many times over. I've sold off about half of them, and now use the rest (29 gpus) to solo mine ethereum. It's worth it for me since I have cheap (~6c usd) power and already had all the required hardware. They were all sitting in a drawer waiting to be sold until ethereum came around.

I wish they were consuming only 40 watts! Each card is burning 200 watts.

Gotta say I had fun setting up my gpus again. ASIC are so boring! No skills required.

You could buy a gekko compac stick for $25 and get like 10x the hash vs. that little usb stick you have.  Still effectively 0 chance at solving a block, but a fun thing to mess around with.

And those block erupters still have some value suprisingly.  He could sell it on ebay, and upgrade to the compac.

It seems a lot are still collecting block erupters and the different colors helped it I think.

Nice Yeah I have to agree on your last point.  I have 2x 5870s that I dont mine with anymore, I doubt they could turn a profit nowadays

Do either of you guys know where I could snag a few?  Most of the stores that sell them are sold out...but I'm still looking around.  I've always been interested in those, coincidentally.

Thanks in advance!
