And I'd like to present to you the custom Jupiter+2piter

As you no doubt noticed, the Jupiter has spots for 4 units, however with the sale of upgrade modules, our choice was to get a new mounting case by flying to Sweden, or to improvise. So in the spirit of bitcoin hackery, I present to you my creation.

Corsair H60 for each of the new boards, boards have spacers so they're back to back, the VRMs get excellent air flow, while the LCS is definitely capable to keeping the temps under control.

Enjoy!

Maybe I should send some of my mockups to Hashfast ;-)

I've wondered why those KNC miners didnt use some sort of liquid cooling apparatus. Especially with all the cheap all-in-one CPU coolers there are out right now.

Thats pretty slick.

How do the liquid cooled temps compare to the standard vapor pipe cooled ones?

I would pay more to have a water cooling setup done for the KNC units (not that I have one).  One of my hopes with ASIC was not having to monitor temps and fuss around with hardware (I had enough of that after a 50GH GPU farm).

WTF  Shocked the chips are working at around 47°C so heat is no problem for them. there is enough place for tweaking. and we are waiting for the tweaking suite from knc.  Grin

i have 24 AM USB miners - 2 bought at original price (4.2BTC) that will never ROI and then several more bought at price reductions (1 BTC each) and special purchase deals (all for less than 0.1BTC) - i then bought 13 & 0.5BTC with 150 GBP (less than £6 each + shipping) a few months ago - with the new price of BTC - GBP i have made my money back - i was lucky and i doubt it will be possible again Tongue

With a proper setup of 3x120mm radiators I would argue that one could fit even more inside each of those cases.. Say maybe even 16 boards in each - Its all about airflow through the radiators and the inlet temperature.

i made a little update - got 3 new ASICs

1. Updated to Windows 7 - now all work at the same time - Thanks to all helpers here!
2. Attached 6 ASICs to the D-Link HUB
2.1 Attached the D-Link HUB to the "top-Slot" of the 4:1 HAMA HUB for a better air-flow to the bottom row
3. Attached 2 ASICs to the small 4:1 HAMA HUB on top of the D-LINK HUB
4. Attached the HAMA HUB with a Y-USB Cable to two USB Ports in the Netbook

The Fan is attached to another USB Port and i put it in a Tape-Holder - fittet perfectly :-)

Rig is running with about 2,66 GH/s

3x333MHs ASCIs and 1x2400 MHs ASIC are on the way - then my rig should be completed  Grin
i will switch the D-Link HUB to two other HUBs with more Power and lesser price!

How do the liquid cooled temps compare to the standard vapor pipe cooled ones?

Those Huge CoolerMaster i30's do a better job of cooling the ASICs, but the H60's are perfectly adequate. The Issue isn't the water block, it's the tiny radiator, either needs bigger fans, or bigger radiator to equal the cooling of the i30's, but yeah, i30's are rated for 320W cooling an ASIC that pushes just 150W

The main reason behind the design is that the days of huge footprint mining are over for me, I need to keep things compact and efficient, can't spread across half a dozen tables anymore!

Not a very good picture, but here's one of my Bitfury rigs that I'm tuning / troubleshooting. Waiting for a couple cases from Spotswood to arrive next week before putting them into permanent homes.

Have this one running more-or-less stable at 531 GHs ATM but troubleshooting and tuning continues through the weekend.

(Out of sight, two more fans blowing on the unit)

Big thanks to Buzzdave and Yvonne from MegaBigPower for being super folk to deal with.
