-ANNOUNCEMENT-

The pool at http://mine.burstcoin.info needs miners. There is also an asset you can buy into there that will provide you with extra income. The connection was killed at a very unfortunate time, and thus the pool lost quite a few of it's miners. Now I am going to do this in order to get some back! So, here goes...

The next 25 miners to join the pool, PM me with their burst address, and wait for me to see them on the list of stats on the pool, will be sent 1,500 burst!

The 25 after that to do the same thing, will receive 1,000 burst.

The 25 after that will receive 750 burst.

We will start with that, and see how it goes. I am more than willing to do more giveaways.

The pool server has been solid now for a good while since the incident with the storm, and we shouldn't be experiencing issues like that again. So, let's get our power back and become the pool that we can be!

**Note, I also have another pool that's unofficially related to this pool, but it's private and no fee, and located in the US. If you're interested in that pool you can PM me. Not sure how long it will stick around, or if I will merge with the other pool, it all depends on the miner count and blocks found, etc.**

BURST-46BJ-C98Y-GYVF-ETBHG

gotcha, as soon as I see ya in stats I'll send the 1500. Thanks for joining!

FYI everyone, this guy is number 18!

Smiley Thank you all for your support, keep em coming, and I'll keep em donating!

Your pool seems to be broke.

only just started mining here and hate have to move over elsewhere

The pool is up, there are currently 43 miners connected. Make sure you use http://mine.burstcoin.info:8124

Generation for that file is probably interrupted and it is corrupt. BTW, I personally don't go over 500k to keep managing such things easier.

Nice colours.
But please use some spare time to learn how to spell "receiving" correctly instead of wasting it on cosmetics.

Please use some spare time to learn how to contribute with anything substantial or constructive in this thread. Don't you understand that you are just pathetic at the moment? Smiley

I highly doubt you will be able to contribute with anything useful related to coding, infrastructure, mining or PR of Burst in the foreseeable future.

I, therefore, suggest you concentrate on something reachable, perhaps more related to language and even pedagogical presentation of content: Try to offer our dear dev a revised version of this thread's OP. Smiley The current one could use an overhaul IMHO, as much have happened since the coin was launched.

Please understand that you will have to understand how Burst works to do a job proper. This will be a challenge, I'm fully aware of this, but you know it's about trying - trying to evolve. Wink If you fail we will understand, we will be supportive and encourage a second try. Smiley

**  Note: As a non-native speaker with dyslexia, I'm very sorry to address you with my bad grammar, phrasing and spelling. I can only hope you will understand me despite this. Smiley

+1, we'd all appreciate it if you gave us a hand like that(re-writing the op).

The sad thing is that I really thing the guy would be able to contribute to the community. Things, like the OP or guides, could be improved by someone with a good eye for language. Instead he abuses on someone like Blago  Embarrassed

Bug

how to fix this have latest java flash and shock

That's more than likely means it's trying to use the wrong version of msvcp100.dll (32 vs 64 bit). Did you unzipped the dll's from the package too along with miner.exe?

Not your keys, not your coins!

I don't think anyone's done much comparison of brands.  I've been loading up on Seagate 4TB's, because they're cheap on amazon.  Seems to work OK.

New update Miner-BURST-1.141014

* rewrote the sorting code
+ added output messages of checks
+ added rainbow and fun
+ added debug parameter
! during the tests was not found differences in deadlines
! better use "CacheSize" => your max stagger

limits:
1000 files in 1 path (folder)
max paths = 24
Sender's array of best deadlines = 2400000

https://www.dropbox.com/s/9so0bo71wg6nf3k/miner-burst-1.141014.zip?dl=0

Bug

how to fix this have latest java flash and shock

Win7 x64 ? File system - NTFS ?  How many RAM ?

Nice colours.
But please use some spare time to learn how to spell "receiving" correctly instead of wasting it on cosmetics.
Thank you, fixed. Please check the words in the log file

I'm using quite large stagger size files, 1048576 to be specific, setting CacheSize to a value lower than that actually result in much faster processing (51s vs 40s).
If you set CacheSize - 1048576 , miner's thread finding 1 best deadline in 1 file and put it's to Sender.
If you set CacheSize - 131072, miner's thread finding 8 best deadlines in 1 file and put it's to Sender, Sender sends first best deadline to server, waiting response too much time, after sending second deadline, waiting again

In all this reading , testing , plotting and mininng Burst, I didnt get something:
When I have multiple plots at one account with different sizes- should they have same value of stagger , or different stagger sizes dont really matter?
Examples:
**acoount**_0_409600_409600
**acoount**_409601_2048000_2048000
**acoount**_6553601_819200_819200
stagger sizes dont really matter

! File "16208505166897672442_0_7320000_3000" file name/size mismatch, skipped

Any help on this error? Thanks!
rename file: (file size in Kb) / 256  = nonces           16208505166897672442_0_7320000_3000
