http://mine.burstcoin.info has suffered a lot of damage due to an incompetent ISP.
We need all the help we can get to get back on our feet. I know these last few days had lots of problems but it was out of my power and I am really sorry about everything.
I have worked hard to get everything back in working condition.
We also created http://mine2.burstcoin.info as a backup. I am setting that up as I type.
Go grab some shares from the asset exchange because we are in the process of finishing 10 Tb of plots that will be mined directly in the assets account to pay dividends.
Share value should rise pretty nice.

WAIT, DO NOT PAY 2K burst/share....it is WAY too high, you WILL NOT meet your ROI....probably at least not for a few years.

Well you can put buy orders at 200+. The last completed orders are around 200 BURST per share. I didn't say buy at 2000.

Maybe I need to specify this. The extra 10 Tb that are going to mine directly in the assets account are going to be effective if the pool gets its miners back.

Something isn't right here. Over 2 Million Burst was dumped earlier today - 1.9 Million by the same person, and the dumps are still coming. Worse than a falling price is losing big whales like that - gives a very negative signal to prospective investors that 'big money' feels they made a profitable decision dumping at 130 Satoshi therefore it must be expected to fall below that. Sort of like that massive 15BTC dump on Swift - triggered the down trend. Difference is we havent been pumped and another downtrend now would not be good for the long term survival of the coin. It's cripplingly difficult to make up lost ground in the sense that if we fall to 100 Sat it will take a 500% increase in market cap to get us back up to a 'low but fair' price of 500 sat; we can forget about 1000 Sat if it touches 100 Sat - at least for the medium term.

Any way we can get the multipool up and running again? If we can soak up 2 or 3 BTC worth of Burst per day we might still be able to get this thing on an upwards movement.

From what I know Paradigm came back and the pool is running fine.
You can point your miners there.

Sweet - happy to put what little mining power I have left in the pot. Any news from the dev? seems to have disappeared these past few days.

Would be nice if he could show his face here more often. 4 going on 5 days without a post from him here. Little things like this are bad for business.

50% drop since I last bought BURST. HDD mining might not be on demand yet, I still see big solutions coming ahead with CPUs similar to what magi has been working on in the last few weeks. Except without worrying about hdd issues as others have discussed here.

The problem is almost users who frequently visit this thread pay attention too much to mining related posts. All posts about future of the coin and how to improve are just buried. If you don't stop the mining here, almost no new investors will buy your mined BURST.

Just my 2 BURST.

People, calm down!!! The price doesn't matter, it's just that we can't give up when it's low. HDD mining + NXT features. Take some time to think about it, and then realise that that kinda sounds a lot like something which can be used all over the world....it just needs patience and marketing. Yeah, we need marketing. PM if you can help...preferably over at burstforum.com

Incurring a big fat loss at this stage - bought 600,000 between 190 and 212 Satoshi. Nothing to do but baghold I guess - would rather hold until 1 Satoshi than sell for a whopping great loss.

Put 1.5BTC into GHOST too so not a good week lol

I think a lot of the issues with HDD mining have been made more complex by a few factors. The first people rushing to mine without taking the time to learn how to set it up correctly. The second, trying to tweak settings to unreal expectations. I currently am running 15 rigs, with various operating systems, and some on 10 year old servers, with 10 year old hard drives. This being said, I have had one drive fail, and it was more than likely going bad when I installed it in the host. To comment on the price, this coin is still fairly new, and it has a strong community, and a a solid dev behind it. One of the things that is hurting all crypto's is the amount of coins released daily, and all the pumps and dumps. I have felt BURST would be a mid to long term hold since it was introduced. The coin is going to have to maintain through all the FUD, and price swings, that come from an easily manipulated market. I think there many more good things coming from this coin, the main thing is to keep a solid community behind it, and an active dev. i do not think it is a good choice if you want to "get rich quick". I say  this as I think about all the pizza's bitcoin bought. I think as a community we need to focus more on implementation at this point, here and on the burtstcoin forum.
