Its not "local" wallet. Any reason for use this new wallet and advantages from it? One possibility of using: "InfoAddr" : "wallet.burst.city", "InfoPort": 8125, @catbref: can you open public http at different port? Thank you bro! Everyone, we now have an official online BURST wallet, the advantages of which are not having to have the blockchain on your local rig, and we can now make tools that work around the online wallet. We will be setting up all of the AT stuff there, and making tools that work with it, for ease of use for BURST. Thanks again cat!

i made a minor update to the mysql php fill script. the new version is available here: http://pastebin.com/bUWv2wX5the previous one produces an error and does not include a transaction if it contains no recipient address or amount. since this is possible for several transaction types you should work with the updated one. i only added if conditions, everything else is the same code. a complete list with all possible transaction types is available in the BURST source on github here: https://github.com/BurstProject/burstcoin/blob/master/src/java/nxt/TransactionType.javato apply the update replace the php script with the new one and truncate the database. this can be done with these two commands within mysql: TRUNCATE burstdb.blocks; TRUNCATE burstdb.tx; after this is done simply fill up the database again. sorry for the inconvinience but these things just happen.

Congratulations! I think this may be even bigger than Ethereum.
In Ethereum each full node has to execute all the smart contracts from start to finish. And I just don't think that's scalable in the long run (that said they are innovative bunch and may solve that problem in the future, but as of now it's an issue).
With atomic cross chains it sounds like you could literally have each DApp have its own chain, including holding other coins inside. That is absolutely amazing.
Hope dapp devs start using this. It is so much more than a cross chain transfer.

How do I know this isn't collecting people's passwords? That's why I stopped my public wallet, to avoid such accusations!

Not at all. SSL - secure socket layer only makes sure that the data transfer from user to server is encrypted, but what the server is doing with that data is all up to them. With all the anonymity in cryptocurrency you must have a great faith to trust anybody who you do not know.

I thought this would be avoided with the addition of SSL (even though not even that is necessary). I'm not collecting passwords... That would be stupid, but SSL should prove what I'm saying. SSL is not strictly required, it just adds an additional level of security. If you take a look at a packet trace of you authenticating to a non-SSL wallet, the pass phrase is not sent over the wire. Instead, after you enter your passphrase, the browser requests the publickey for your account (The account ID is generated from the passphrase). Presumably then, the private key (also generated from the passphrase) is used to validate the public key and grant access. So, even without SSL the passphrase cannot be harvested, SSL just adds an additional layer by making the entire conversation encrypted. H.

Simply download any of the files and compare them with your known-good local copy. All that has changed is that the files are served via HTTPS. Your passphrase isn't sent to any wallet server - it's processed locally by your browser to generate your private and public keys. When you send money this happens: - your browser's client-side javascript asks your wallet server to generate the raw bytes for a transactions based on amount, recipient, etc.
- wallet server returns bytes to browser
- your browser's client-side javascript cryptographically "signs" the bytes using your private key held in the memory of your browser
- this changes some bytes in the raw transaction generated above
- your browser sends signed transaction to wallet server
- your wallet server broadcasts transaction to network
HTTPS isn't even necessary - it's only been added for "peace of mind".
