I can't understand, why there is a big up & down in Network Difficulty ? Like just 2-3 days back it was about 10k (~13k I guess) Then suddenly came back to 5-6k within few hours ! & usually it remains between 5-7k most of the time. How could this be possible ? If it's CPU or GPU or ASIC mining, I can understand that when people point their hardware for mining some other coin, difficulty drops (specially when there is a big dump, monero is facing this problem right now), but in case of burst this is not possible, because there is no other coin to mine with your HDDs & you can't even utilize the space on your HDDs (because plots have already occupied the spare space).  I don't think people delete their plots every now & then & then re-plot. So how come we have such a major change in Network Difficulty, unless the miner crashes suddenly with some big data center(s) mining with PBs !

Do you have any hope the price will go up?

The only hope is:

I say it is impossible, unless the Burst dev managed to convert Burst network into decentralized Dropbox, when users would pay for distributed encrypted storing of their files with BURST coins.

No. I see no reason for that.

Maybe something like this can help burst to rise price?

[miner]

added client-server architecture for multiple rig.
Several rig transmit their deadlines proxy server, which selects the best of them.
Best deadline passed pool.
This allows you to not charge a penalty and bans.

This is a very good idea, however flawed.
Having a client-server architecture can/should only work if the user can run the client on several architectures.
Right now, the only thing we have is a distributed Windows-only load.

Unless Linux/Mac clients are changed to support connecting to the windows-only proxy port 8126 (just tried dcct's, it doesn't), or a Linux/Mac binary is made to support being the proxy for Windows clients, the whole idea is.. incomplete.

Why the frell so many retards spell "ect" as an abbreviation of "Et Cetera"? "ETC", DAMMIT! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Et_cetera

burstcoin.io US pool update

miners on burstcoin US pool, please restart your miner after block 17160 (if ur miner does not have auto resolve dns)
new Pool IP will be 23.227.167.164 , domain name will be same http://pool.burstcoin.io or http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io  (you might need to flush your dns cache)
i moved pool to new hosting, and i reduced pool fee from 2.5% to 1.5%, so better profit for miners
and pool running cost is reduced 4x cheaper, so BCPT holder would get better profit too
new host hardware is cheaper but faster, so will see performance improvement there

EU and SG pool also will follow the hosting migration, it might take a while because new hosting deployment is a bit complicated

server migration is done for US, EU and SG pool
you might need to restart your miner and flush dns cache, please check it

Pool IP :

[US] http://pool.burstcoin.io  23.227.167.164
[SG] http://pool2.burstcoin.io 23.227.163.49
[EU] http://pool3.burstcoin.io 23.227.167.165

It looks like we haven't got much needed attention from investors and supporters...

There is virtually no solid support on the markets ... And trade volume is really low in last 24h.

I don't know if bittrex wallet problems had some impact on it...

Burst is searching for new support line..

I still think this coin has competitive advantage to other alt-coins... but market clearly sees it other way...

Stop crying, we will rise from the ashes. Even if the ashes means 20 satoshi, who cares? Even at current price farms are too profitable.
I'm not crying, just describing reality... There is no support on demand side.. and that is why its falling every day...

Tell me one reason to buy ...

I can't think of any... There is SJCX with better features...

This thread is only about mining for weeks...

The only things I've seen here are www.burstcoin.eu (btw great explorer!) and new logotypes and icons... Thanks to authors for both!

But...
Is it enough to buy?

<offtopic>I know you have issued some assets in burst so from your side as creditor you don't care if its 1 satoshi... What have you creditors done with accumulated burstcoins? Don't tell me you sold them..

The block reward is much too high. It would be madness to buy more under the conditions. Burst urgently requires a halving of the rewards. The protection of the new Miner can now be no more argument. It generates too many BURST, which are then dumped.

High reward and few investors, how should rise because the price?

Supply and demand.

To raise demand Burst needs something to spend burst on: asset, development, tech , keychains whatever.

Also pos would give 1 good reason reason to buy and hold it in the short term as it gets developed (and maybe offset some poc creation).

or wait until price equals cost to create burst.

burst is new, everything is new, even the blockexplorer, miner, pool need to be build from scratch
even we dont agree yet which is burst official logo, we dont have mining protocol standard, there are a lot of area need to be improved

so i think the development time can't keep up with the block reward, hence the inflation
as long as we keep developing, keep promoting and keep using burst, we will survive
even if burst reach 1 sat, and no buy order, its not the end of the world

Uray is right. I'm working hard on a set of tools to introduce Burst to a wider audience. I know other teams also do, but development takes time. The price will rise eventually when things get announced.
