Today we are happy to announce, we are official member of the 2nd Proof of Mining Campaign!
We have set the Max Hashrate per User to 250KH/s.
Everyone is welcome :-) Please be aware we are currently in developing, we have some plans for the future.
Thanks to all who helps us to balance and secure the network hashrate! Have a nice Sunday :-) I will give a respons on your long post later Lightsplasher. I just need to share this great info about http://minerclaim.net/ our newest Magi mining pool added the max hashrate to their rules. Thats really awesome! Special thanks to minerclaim.net! That's great.. but can I ask a potentially silly question? Limiting the hashrate won't stop people from creating multiple user accounts and splitting their hash power between them will it? That's right. But the pool admins might have some tools for that! Yes, thats right. But I think we have found a possibility to control this.

Magi is very proud to have a third pool supporting the Proof of Mining rules. Welcome

The Magi pay site looks very interesting. I've been thinking about trying to integrate this into the web application that I've been thinking about building. (Nobody hold their breath waiting for me to complete it please, I've a slight tendency to plan on things that I've troubles getting done) Just a couple of thoughts on clarification and potential enhancements that might be useful. It states that it takes an hour for the payment to be received by the merchant; is this so that the block chain can be confirmed? Is there a way for the merchant to be informed that the customer has started the payment process at the time they make payment so that they could perhaps be granted limited access to resources on good faith? Is there any type of arbitration or escrow type service planned for the customer perhaps so that web merchants that accept XMG through the merchant services can be trusted? (Maybe some customer feedback or other indicators that the merchants are legitimate?) Perhaps even requiring a certain amount in an escrow balance from the merchant would be enough to establish good faith on the part of the customer and not burden the merchant services (acting as a neutral third party) with this. Example: Lightplasher to offer a jar of blackberry preserves through his website at $5.00 USD or equivalent XMG. It would be nice to receive payment in XMG and not worry about how customer originated the payment (USD, Greek coins, using Paypal on Magi Pay, etc.). Once customer starts payment they are granted access to the special web customers only access page. After further inspection and reading reviews the customer decides that Lightplasher is far too esoteric to order blackberry preserves from and requests a refund through the merchant services. If the dispute arises prior to shipment the customer easily gets refunded through merchant services. ... Interesting points you have their. About the confirmation time. It only takes 5 minutes for the merchant to receive the payment. There are also a response on the mechant server when a customers has already made the payment. Nice thoughts with the escrow but I will wait for joe on what he thinks about it. About the multi platform payment. Somehow we can do it in the future. lots of things needs to be taken care of in terms of legality. Thanks for your clarification on the time for merchant payments however, on the m-epay site: https://www.m-epays.com/what-is-magipay on point #8 it states it takes an hour to get payments. I guess I can set it up and see how it works if I ever get to that point. Just brainstorming the legal issues, but hey maybe we could have the Magi pay stuff located in someplace like Luxembourg or some other place with generous tax and regulation issues and then pay all the merchants out as independent contractors. You know, follow the business model of Pepsi, Apple and other big US company's that don't pay much taxes. http://www.icij.org/project/luxembourg-leaks/leaked-documents-expose-global-companies-secret-tax-deals-luxembourg Tax free earnings for everybody, even the little businesses! Just kidding again, Lightsplasher doesn't provide legal advice - besides it doesn't seem to fit the community spirit of Magi.

Did somebody tested the Magi standalone payment gateway yet? Think some feedback would be nice. I think it will be a lot faster than 1 hour. But we only know after trying this. So if somebody did pls share some results!

The last time I tested (about 3 months ago) it was taking 3-6 minutes to get IPN message. And up to 10 min to get the coins confirmed in your address. Unfortunately there were some random issues with SSL or table locking or something else. Currently when I try to call a box I get "ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" ... Hope Joe will get back to us soon

Sometimes magid doesn't allow rpc command thats why the server make an empty response. but you can test it now. don't know if I have to update magid.

I do not know if anybody has compiled one yet. What worries me is power consumption and heat dissipation, so while an Android miner should be possible in theory at least, I am not sure about the practicality of it. There would also be the user interface to consider.

Did not look at that. But M-team will check it out. I don't understand whats the benefit for Magi for doing that at the moment. Maybe you can explain a little about it here. You can read details under the upper link. Verified Market: A Verified Market is a market whose Market currency has completed a proof-of-developer by a developer verification service such as ProofofDev.com and has traded on the Bittrex site for over 120 days.
For example, BTC-URO trades UroCoin which has a PoD score of 4 and has been on Bittrex since May 15th, 2014. Source: http://proofofdev.com/uro-urocoin/
We do not warrant any developer or coin verification scores but provide them as a tool to help traders assess the level of risk they are willing to take.DEV, are you planing XMG to be veriified bittrex market?

There would also be the user interface to consider. I figured heat would be the main the problem, but those electronics typically have a higher max temp. I found a ltc/btc/x11 miner for android that works, so thought I'd see if anyone built one for m7m yet.

Magi had some people (telling they were android developers) saying they would build one for Magi. Untill know there is not one of those guys who delivered. They also asked very different prices. Between 0.5 BTC and 150 BTC. Maybe there is nobody who can do it Magi. If you know some fair android developers who can really deliver a solid miner for Magi ask him or give me the name pm.

Can not tell that at this moment! The first Proof of Interest campaign had a interest of 6%. Better than most Banks do at the moment!
