Announcement 2/16/15: New Green Wallet project open sourced! A mobile friendly RPC wallet built with Meteor.js & node-bitcoin!

Today I have open sourced a project I have recently started called Green Wallet, this is a mobile friendly RPC wallet built with Meteor/Node.js that can be compiled into a native running iOS and Android app using Cordova/Phonegap. My plans are to eventually provide a hosted option for anyone who doesn't want to compile or build their own wallet however, since this project is open sourced you can easily run and connect to your own node! The simplicity of RPC!

I have started the guts of the project and have most of the UI and some basic functionality already in place.  My plans are to keep this project simple and to the point while providing all the basic things you would want in a simple friendly mobile wallet 100% under your own control and open source.

This is also a great project for anyone who wants to pickup or brush up on some of your Javascript skills or learn a new JS Framework like Meteor.js! I encourage anyone who is tickled by the idea of coding with crypto to join in and see what you can contribute! I have plans of taking these JS projects further by incorporating our Cannacore library (after updating to meet the latest Bitcore release) and other fun and exciting open source ideas.

Getting Started

• Download & Install the latest version of Meteor.js framework available at http://meteor.com
• Configure your coins daemon or QT with the proper RPC User/Password settings.
• Edit the settings.json file in the project root to match your wallet RPC user/pass/port etc
• From the command line run the follow: meteor --settings="settings.json"
• Open your browser to http://localhost:3000 and start coding! The Meteor.com docs will break down the iOS/Android build process which to be honest, is very simple!

TODO's:

Insert new mongo document for each generated address (currently pulling from daemon directly).

• Configure coin daemon walletnotify feature to insert incoming tx's into our database.
• Insert new mongo document for sent transactions.
• Add transaction pagination
• Make the settings actually work... (form is already in place, just need to pull from DB).
• Add basic unit testing using Mochajs/Chai.
• Add basic integration testing using Mochajs/Phantomjs & Casperjs.
• Setup shippable.com continuous integration file & bash script (SubCreative will do this).

Edit: Could use a sweet logo if there are any artist out there who want to draft up some concept ideas! [/list]

CCN going to be delisted from Bittrex? Bittrex says it could be delisted tomorrow? Things drying up on the exchange?  Price down over 50% and no volume

CCN won't be delisted, a few days ago volume hit 2 btc which makes up for the .2 / day over 7 days. The message on bittrex stays there until the 20th even though we passed the minimum volume days ago.

Let's all save up 1 BTC and then on April 20th buy all the coins for sale. Just for fun to see what happens... any coin under .01 BTC is cheap.

Since this coin is pure PoSV, I believe this is a great way to raise price and get more users interested in the coin.

I've been picking up a few cannacoin here with this cheaper price. It wouldn't take much for the price to hit 8,000 satoshi. Only 2 btc worth of sells to hit that price

Can you please update the OP as it is still showing the x-mas banner. This means to me that you forgot about your own coin. I prefer this marijuana themed crypto over every other ganja coins so get up, stand up and do your job. 420 incoming.

And your site seems to be not fully functioning because it will freeze right after the first click on any part of it.

has this coin all but died?

Only news I see are those from 8-bit offering a < USD $2.90 bounty to help on some "to-do" list and newest fanboy "deusopus" talking to himself on the subreddit.

Is the Dev team just waiting for some slip-up from one of the other coins again before they come out of the woodwork pointing fingers while spewing more of their altruistic message(s) about how awesome they want us to think they are?

I can assure you we're still alive and well :-), there is a lot of work to do behind the scenes that requires things that don't involve Bitcointalk or Reddit. Myself personally have been nose down working on a few new projects and on boarding a new dev to the Cannapay project this last week. I have also been talking to potential business partners and angel investors from Bitangels and other outlets about investment opportunities into Cannacoin and the CCN Team. My last interaction was a 2 hour phone conversation on Friday with one investor group from silicon valley.  By lining up a potential investment from larger outside stakers entering CCN by helping fund projects and development we could see a lot of doors opening for this network and its holders as well as the resources and team dedicated to the project.  

To be honest I never like stepping away from my development duties but securing funding and the business side will be a large piece to the puzzle here as up until this point 100% of the time and resources dedicated to CCN have been provided voluntarily by the CCN Team and a few key community members.  This type of model is clearly unsustainable as we cannot afford to build the CCN infrastructure let alone pay our project and personal bills and out of pocket without any income or compensation (like you said 8 bits 2.90 isn't going to cut it but at least he's offering something). I feel confident about the potential and I'm still as dedicated as ever to the project, so if you're questioning that I will try to be better by posting more small updates during the week.
