I am confused.. I hard coded it to connect only to your 4 master nodes.. and that is all it is allowed to connect to.. now i have "misbehaved" it will only connect to the same 2 of 4 nodes and keeps disconnecting.. I will try again tomorrow to sync etc to see if I have been let back into the club.. but this is all a bit frustrating for me to handle instead of just opening a wallet and letting it do its thing.. not sure why I have to keep messing around with stuff and being blocked and resyncing and etc etc.. Is this a flaw in the design cause I am just trying to Open and Sync a wallet..It's not like I am trying to mess things up.. I open a wallet it should sync and then stake and that should be as hard as it gets.. sorry if i come across negative but I don't have constant time to babysit a wallet all the time.

Now you have encrypted the wallet, as long as you only unlock once synced, you shouldn't have this problem any more, and obviously its best practice to always encrypt your wallets anyway.

If you have missing coins once synced (another glitch caused by staking out of sync), just go to the debug console and type "repairwallet"

In case anyone-else has recently experienced delays depositing/withdrawing at Bittrex, here's the answer why:

Quote
Hi,

All Bitstars issues should be resolved. Our wallet needed more nodes in order to connect properly to the network. Please let me know if you are still experiencing any issues.

Thanks,

Wallet not syncing properly again.. and all i connect to is the 4 main nodes(and yes it is locked).. so either this is a glitch in my wallet (due to it happening many times before).. or there is something wrong with the nodes maybe?  I dunno but I have never had to resync a wallet more than this one.  sigh.. any chance someone can look into this or send me some good nodes that will get me back on track?

Edit:  after 2 hours it miraculously seemed to sync and connect.. ??

FYI, watch this space: http://globalbitpoint.com

Very interesting - thanks for posting  Smiley

HI Dev! Been so quiet lately that I thought to ask were we are on development? Just keep up good work!

Sorry work commitments have been manic, having a meeting with the others in the bitstar team in the next day or so to start moving things forward again though, will update you all asap.

Looking forward to the update - in the meantime continuing to buy Bitstar whenever I've got some spare funds  Grin

I've desperately been trying to get this wallet up and running. I'm on v1.2.0.0-adgr with 0 active connections.. I've already tried deleting everyting (except wallet.dat) in the Bitstar roaming folder with no change. Any ideas for a brotha?

It seems it takes a while for it to find connections, just leave the wallet open it should find the nodes after a while.

Just to give the community an overview of the situation, Bitstar dev is doing some fantastic work over in the SuperNET project, which will translate into progression of this coin project as well.

There are some other changes to be made to certain aspects of Bitstar but these will be worked on after the SuperNET elements are complete.

So remember, while you were enjoying your holiday break, some people have been busting their crypto asses developing tech and making things happen for hours on end!

Hi dev! I'm running latest beta wallet on HP laptop with Intel dual core processor. Issue with wallet is that it's working really slow and its memory intensive (specifically services parts of wallet runs slow, takes memory up to 382Mbytes) Is there gona be improvements on wallet that it doesn't slow down and take memory so much?

How many inputs do your wallet addresses contain?

That is usually the reason for wallet slowdown on PoS-based coins, too many payments from the staking process.

ATM project is still proceeding as planned from what I hear. This is all tied in to the work being done over on SuperNET.

setting>options>display Check display coin control

Then go to send>inputs and look at the number in brackets next to each address you have. That is the number of individual payments in (inputs) registered on that address in the blockchain. Anything higher than a few hundred in total for all the addresses and your wallet will be grindingly slow. Its the same issue for all PoS-based wallets and one being discussed currently in relation to the project's development.

Ok, so there is (25995) inputs on my wallet. Any idea how to make them smaller?
