Opening a short position in Monero is now extremely cheap. Interest rates have been fallen to almost 0. I feel like there is a central authority who wants to release some QE packages to make Monero economy even more lively. Historically this has been an indication of bottomish period and one of the best periods to buy.

That kind of market is of little interest to margin speculators.

veeery quiet here....which is always an indication that things aren't that rosy. Despite the usual suspects and their proclamations, the market doesn't seem to share similar bullish sentiments. Testing .0150 on low volume and without the usual spring back, I think we could be heading towards the next fib support level of .0124 by late weekend.
Beginning to agree that the lack of a GUI wallet is being perceived as indicative of scam by the reddit hordes; it doesn't matter what the reality is, perceptions count (cf the clod Trump running for president).

What you talking about xD? The topic is running as usual. Ordinary panic sellers who lost again a lot of money, and shorters who are going to collect it Same thing we had just recently.

hmmz, wouldn't know why the lack of a GUI wallet would be perceived as a scam... most scams have a very shiny wallet to attract dumb money that likes 'blingbling' without caring about fundamentals... have to agree that perception is everything though... anyway, if it goes sub 0.013 I will be buying again... best regards

Hmm maybe the predictions to a drop of 0.012 are right. Kind of scary, but I'm in it for the long run, so I'm definitely holding my coins. If it actually gets that low I might have to find a way to free up some money and buy some more Monero, because that price seems WAY too low IMO.

Is anyone else getting bored with this endless channel trading? Its almost as dull as BTC.
AAAAAAA, careful! Every time someone complains about volatility being "flat"... it seems like that causes a big price crash, LOL Called it... LOL P.S. {Edit} I agree that a big rebound coming though... cheap coinz! Yay...

Because now seems to be a much better time to buy.... and then tomorrow might be an even better time to buy... and then next week... and so on until later next year if/when there's another pump. I'm holding on to some XMR but when BTC rallys it's going to get ugly

I'm holding on to some XMR but when BTC rallys it's going to get ugly I am holding my bags tight. When the price goes down it is better to buy than when it goes up. I am not personally selling any XMR if btc will rally (I have already plenty of bitcoins which I can sell if I feel so).

Question to traders in the area. Considering what is going on right now with XMR, I'm debating on opening a long position. The thing that I would like an opinion on is, would you currently open a long position for about 3 or 4 months until RingCT is implemented? Considering when I personally margin trade, I put up very little. This is due to me being only 1 month into trading world and what I'm learning via Baby Pips.
If you want to shit on my question cool. But I'm just legitimately curious about opinions.
So, open long position on margin for ~50$ worth of XMR and let it sit until or around RingCT implementation?
Thank you.

heres my advice to you: don't mess with margin, buy, hold or sell. I like this advice. I've only been thinking about it but I am still relatively uncertain of consequences and other things involved with margin. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

3-4 months? Hell no, the price can correct all the way back to 0.01-0.012 which I think it will and you will get margin called. But if you're only risking $50 then maybe RingCT is not a guarantee price boost either. Markets move on anticipation of news, not when the news actually happens

This is something I'm still having a bit of a problem with reading. I read into my news and see what people are saying. But being able to put that to work is something I still need to work on. Thanks for the advice and reply.
