Maybe Risto got his 50,000+ XMR out as part of his debt obligations. He had asked for help to make it happen. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1905349.0

I think we are about to see a reversal. I just bought what I could. Dust collection time again.

When creating a paper wallet with the gui do you create a view only wallet? Or a regular one and then delete the wallet file from the computer after writing down the seed? Thanks

HITBTC scares me. I had issues with withdrawals in the past. Well HitBTC has lots of fakevolume, watch their orderbooks... they are way to small to warrant such a volume

I think we are about to see a reversal. I just bought what I could. Dust collection time again. Likewise it is so low now, it will not be like this for long. Especially with possible impending fall of btc

Especially with possible impending fall of btc Sadly, unlike some times in Monero's past a fall in BTC does not necessarily mean a corresponding rise in XMR. In USD terms we are down about 10%, so BTC's USD fall is currently being mirrored (roughly) in Monero's fiat value. For now... I hope it will change as alt money looks for quality and the recent P&D frenzy cools.

Yeah they have 2x the vol of Polo Others have reported issues with HitBTC. May I suggest staying away from this scam site.

If it fails the worst that can happen is me ending up breakeven or with new monero xmr/btc ratio is cheap now anyway compared to 8-9 days ago so it was not a bad decision regardless.

Regular one. View wallets are created from regular wallets, i.e., a view wallet is basically the private view key + the public address of a regular wallet.

My polo problems were actually due to my mail transfer agent. Maintaining an MTA is too much drag, but I definitely need a new one. Any good mail hosts that take XMR?
Protonmail.com does domains now, I see. Now all I need is an xmr funded card on the visa network...

xmr / usdt volume on polo so low because of lag issues or whats up with that?
Poloniex has been having some issues with their withdraws and their support, so they are now in a bad position in terms of trust. I think people are starting to migrate to other markets now.

This has been an issue free email provider for me for quite some time now, over a year, I want to say two. Didn't know that it does domains now.

Poloniex has been having some issues with their withdraws and their support, so they are now in a bad position in terms of trust. I think people are starting to migrate to other markets now. If people leave poloniex it's all for the best. Polo can't handle the traffic they have now, not even close. If you have a problem and have to open a ticket you, days go by without a response of any kind. Some people have been waiting more than a week. How much equanimity one can muster is partly a function of the amount pending. When the withdrawal is worth tens of thousands of dollars, it can be hard to swallow the rote responses offered by the mods. It's even worse when a mod types responses that are unintelligible, which happened to me. Usually typos can be deciphered if one gives it some thought, but that guy's random character jotting was so bizarre, I almost think he was messing with me. He responded to me with a post like that more than once. His communication didn't even rise to the level of perfunctory. Polo is really falling down on the job, and I hope they lose most of their customers.

I have not experienced any problems with poloniex since I have not recently done any withdraw.
Anyway now it looks like Poloniex has temporarily disabled NEM deposits and withdrawals. It is written on the balances, deposits & withdrawals site, not on alerts & notices site. No reasons are given. Has anyone else experienced this?

Usually I've seen it done when they are doing some maintenance on the wallet (for any coin), and that's normal for them not to issue an alert/notice. You should be able to get some info from a trollbox moderator.

Some of you guys may not know this BUT if you add Two-Factor-Identification to your Poloniex account and then *disable* the email verification option, you can get your withdrawal pushed right thru, without the email step at all... you just enter the Google Authenticator 2FA code, quick and easy, and it goes right thru. This may or may not be 'better' overall but if you're having problems with particular email not getting delivered, it's an option. I use Polo this way myself, and have never had any problem (knock on wood). But - then again - I never have more than a couple hundred dollars worth of any crypto on any exchange: those of you big-time High Rollers throwing around tens of thousands of dollars worth of these coins may not want to use this option LOL

It's nice to get notified, but only if you...get notified. Anyhoe, my issue was, once more for emphasis, not Poloniex' problem.
