The only downside is that the OP was TrueCryptionnaire, and we have no idea if he did buy 60K of XMR

If you bought in recently - just be sure to have some sell orders put in at profit so you can catch those crazy peaks. Have some at least at 200% what you put in. Maybe put in others for higher (I call em 'moon catchers'). Decide what to do with the rest manually if you are available - otherwise before you sleep/leave, consider putting in 'good till filled' sell orders at profit so you at least don't wake up / come home from work to a dump

This way you at least come out ahead at the end of it all - and remember the price will correct the week following so would be a good time to buy back in once stabilized (I am calling it at $150-175 settled-at). Personally the ATH's that will be hit during the event I would not consider 'real' - they will be a result of the frothy bubble action bout to go down (8~ hours from now). Assuming they open Monday Noon their time. It may be delayed by some hours, or even sooner, as they did not specify the exact 'time' that Trading begins, but rather just said Monday - its just that the 'deposit period' ends at Noon so I think it will probably we within that hour to keep their customers happy / save face (after having delayed the event once before already)

Remember we will see several periods of action this coming week though - with (what I think) will be the climax this next weekend for Korea. So if you end up red somehow (though I doubt it if you are holding from 3100000 and below) There will be definite lulls and weakhand shake-ups in between as they duke it out. With a bit of good timing you might be able to trade the bigger waves. Just remember - waves within waves within waves. Aim for middle ones with a mind to the overall (bubble wave), and don't fk with the tiny ones as they are whale moves - possible bot-action.

Monero has reached to 0.035 BTC on Bittrex Exchange in short time, but I believe Monero still continue increase untill end this month, because Korean market (Bithumb exchange) will listed and open trade Monero in August 30th, this is reason make volume of Monore will rising up in that time.

But I still feel a bit gun-shy yet because the LAST time there was a "sure thing" coming in for XMR spike, was Fluffy's little PRANK (and I got bit kinda hard on that, heh, put in some Monero to trade on the "sure thing spike that was coming" and had to panic-sell into the massive WALL OF RED BLOOD that ensued...    )

But, anyway yeah this isn't the same really... seems more widespread and substantial info reliable for what's coming.

So, what the hell.  I didn't gamble much on my Vegas trip last weekend so might as well take a roll of the dice here, right?  Heh.

What I'm gonna do is just totally leave my main stash ALONE, don't touch what really matters and just continue to HODL.

But, taking some other crypto that I really don't care much about (*cough*Dash(LOL)*cough*) and flip it over temporarily into Monero.  Then HODL that extra expendable Monero thru the fireworks show that's coming this week, we assume, and trust YOU GUYS to indicate here when it's mostly over (?? ?? ??)

Then, flip the winnings back to whatever it was to start (or, not... fuck those Dashtards LOL) and take the extra profit, buy a nice bottle of Barolo to celebrate, and go back to just simply HODL'ing again.

Sounds like a reasonable, conservative plan?

Moneran's shouldn't forget the great Mintpal pump of 2014, which resulted in an ATH that wasn't broken for two years.

The important point though is that the price record was reached before trading began at Mintpal. Perhaps this time is different?

Spoken like a true Hodler!   Let's ignore the D-word stuff, of course (we all have our naughty little secrets) but hodling has worked well for Monero and is often a better strategy than day-trading.

I worked hard to push my cost average down (by trading) back in the dark days, out of necessity (after I bought too much).  Now I rarely trade much of my XMR, save a small play stash.  If anything I want an exit point for a portion of my stash to move it into practical solid assets (like property) that I don't need to worry about about so much (and I can insure it, for a start!).  I do have a small problem in that when I sell a bit, I then see a dip and buy it back.  But I think I can wean myself off this eventually, with therapy!   Actually I am glad I haven't managed just yet, I would be kicking myself.

Consider taking something out, just in case of a Black Swan event, if you can.... but a Hodler is a true warrior and deserves his (or her) ultimate rewards.

Yep.  We are older, more cynical and wiser.   If it doesn't happen, of course it will dip, but odds are on that it will, and as the likely outcome is still uncertain, the news is not totally priced in.

I think if there is an SK frenzy (as seems possible) it will have further to go, so selling now is not wise.

The world back then was smaller, the inflation was crazy high and small trading groups had firm grip on many coins, no fiat to monero ramp existed. Some of the soon-to-be largest monero hodlers may not even speak english.

This is not normal for XMR, coins for sale are much fewer than normal...  Just sayin'

Maybe some people are trying to keep the lid on the price, it looks very flat.  I don't think this can last if sell side / buy side ratio stays like this.

People don't want to hear it beforehand, and sure as hell don't like hearing about it after the fact.  So many people complaining that they 'missed the boat'. Ya I guess the 2 or 3 zeroes yet to come are not worth gaining, only the first few
