Current supply for sale on Polo is about 8,1952 XMR and dropping!  Cheesy

The bithumb deposit contest likely put a crimp in the supply elsewhere.  Just to keep things interesting  Wink

We are losing steam. My newbie sense of TA says that we are going to rebound somewhere around the 61% fibo  @.00365 before breaking .00581 for good so this could be a good moment to short.
...

It is certainly possible. I am not into day trading XMR at this time, being more a medium to long term holder, but 0.0036 - 0.0039 is certainly an attractive range to add to an existing XMR position.

This is a quote from 3 years ago. With hindsight was I wrong or was I right?

Here are some charts that may help
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/poloniex/xmrbtc
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitstamp/btcusd

The answer to the above may depend on the hold time.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

For those with trembling hands remember - all those koreans that loaded up before the end of the deadline an hour ago - they literally cannot touch their XMR until it is listed - they are waiting with the rest of us on Bitthumb to open it up. Considering bitthumb has already delayed the event by several days before - any further delays on their part is bad PR which adds to that pressure to list. Hang tight

The world back then was smaller, the inflation was crazy high and small trading groups had firm grip on many coins, no fiat to monero ramp existed. Some of the soon-to-be largest monero hodlers may not even speak english.

+1

It's come a long way from back then.  Around a $2 billion market cap is serious.

Glad I discovered Monero when it was at $10 Million market cap. I'm just too stupid to sell some while the price is going-up.

I think during these times, the best strategy is to hold.
If it were to look back at history, time tells it will be a dump.
However, xmr was way undervalued, so this could be a special case of pure skyrocketing and traders and shorters will get awesomely rekt.

Yup, it's truley gambling right now to play this market and I'm a gambler but I don't like the odds of selling and watching the spike you missed. Been there done that and it hurts. Smiley

I can relate to that feeling. I got in at $1-$2 in 2015, then I sold some at $40, then $80. Now I found it very difficult to buy-back what I sold at those prices. I taught 4000-8000% in 2 years is already too much, but seems like there in no "too much" word in cryptocurrencies right now.

No-one know what will happen except the whales who are doing the the manipulating. What is their profit point? who knows. But when they hit it you find out fast and it's usually to late to do anything about it and the best thing to do is find the bottom buy and wait and wait and wait and wait. Smiley
Indeed, I've sold a good chunk of my monero already but still have a healthy amount if it rises further - although would prefer a bit of a drop again at this stage LOL

Someone is trying to shake out weak hands...

I don't mind buying back the coins I sold over night though, if there is a chance.   Smiley
