Is it too soon to start speculation on this?? "This is a major coup, as these are merchants who currently do not accept any type of cryptocurrency. Their target demographic is extremely broad, but largely consists of younger people who are smartphone-entrenched, but aren't necessarily technical."
So on one hand you can say merchants like PayPal or Square. But if you keep thinking about younger audiences perhaps something like Tinder or Snapchat would make sense.

Chat apps like Viber, Line or WhatsApp make the most sense I'd think. Of course there's also Venmo. Edit: Don't forget games with in-app purchases

Fluffy said that some items offered by the merchants would only be purchasable with XMR.

So if I were the type to be a bit paranoid I would go about 51% ing BTC how? Hmm, nah. china would never do such a thing with all that un-seized mining equipment and all those Exchange executives that cannot leave the country. LOL, this space is never boring.

IMO, Pornhub. They would certainly want to offer their users privacy. And their users would want it.

Hmm how could it be "leaked" if Fluffy himself offered to tell more about it for those closer interested in it? I think it does not matter any more, we are near 60% funding in not even 2 days.

It may well matter, we just don't know yet. Fuck Primer, by the way.

Yes, but these tend to be drugs and other illegal products/services. Things I tend to avoid and things that also harm Monero’s reputation. Not to say that Monero doesn’t have legitimate uses, but most all of them that are legal and ethical will probably accept Bitcoin too.

So, wait... is this "leaked" document intended to HARM this project somehow?
If it's legit (seems possible to me) it looks great, to me: what's the problem? Why did that have to be "leaked" vs just part of the project explainer?
TL;DR basically to me this looks like it's a project pitch from a marketing and online promotion company specializing in the music industry, i.e. doing stuff like rock bands website, their merchandise and promo sales stuff etc. They're proposing to develop an easy to use, modular, plug-in type shopping-cart software utilizing MONERO as the exclusive payment choice for crypto currency (not clear if it'll also have Visa/MC legacy payment option etc, too... but seems like that'd be required realistically if it's gonna be accepted)
The pitch is priced in BTC, oddly (not Monero LOL) but the values for the project assuming $4K/BTC now are about correct for Fluffy's FFS funding numbers.
Seems to me this'd be *great* if they can pull it off. The music business and online merchandising for bands, etc is indeed a large market, not currently all that tech savvy (think of Wayne & Garth, LOL) but still quite "plugged-in" online, and moreover it's not the usual "dark market" drugs porn criminal shit, etc, that XMR is faulted for so often.
Basically, seems to me that getting a strong toe-hold in a market niche like this -- that can then be expanded to e-commerce overall -- would be fantasic, IMHO.
Just don't grok why the document was "leaked" as if it's something detrimental to Fluffy's proposal, at all. Odd.

Not to say that Monero doesn’t have legitimate uses, but most all of them that are legal and ethical will probably accept Bitcoin too. These merchants aren't drug dealers, for heaven's sake. That's the point. They're legit merchants of anything and everything. Monero has as many legit uses as any currency, including Bitcoin.
