hey guys, anyone has some price predictions Cheesy:D ?? I hear rumers about upswing starting from november... or does it look more like we hold between 85 and 95 usd ?

My guess is when the bitcoin bubble pops. No clue when thats going to happen though. Until then we'll probably keep parity with usd until multisig gets adopted for use.

I wouldn't give a price but i'm confident come 2018 nobody will look at xmr/btc pairs anymore, that goes for all major alts with already decent fiat volume,  in usd terms i'm bullish but it probably takes till next march before the real party starts. thats how i envision it in my little crypto universe Smiley

That is always difficult to decide. Do you think XMR/BTC will slowly drop while BTC rises and therefore keeping XMR Fiat value stable?

i think everybody is way to shure that things will go on as usual for BTC after the fork. i miss the fear so i'm getting worried for BTC this time. just a gut feeling. Also people ask me about BTC now whom i marked as sell indicators 2 years back Smiley. And to be honest from my limited knowledge of code but pretty good knowledge of economics and monetary theory i'm actually drawn to BCH.

Just ask yourself why JP Morgan is implementing their solution and not Monero's solution in their blockchain ledger
Maybe this is an answer?

Er what? Cryptocurrencies are either traceable or untraceable, there’s no in between.

So is he saying that Zcash is traceable or it can be made traceable?

Doesn't much matter one way or the other, does it?  Broken system is broken.

Doesn't Multisign also provide a base for sidechain development?

A record 9 straight weekly red candles.  Impressive.  #10 begins green, like all healthy new shoots.  Of course, so did #9.   What's the probability of maintaining the going green?

Multisig can be used for 'federated sidechains' where there is a group of designated parties (aka a federation) collectively responsible for signing off on sidechain transfers.

My investment I made 5 weeks back will have halved by next week, I had a lot of faith in this coin seems when the hype moves to the next one it slowly bleeds out.  Embarrassed

If you are buying Monero on hype, you are doing it wrong. Best thing to do is start studying why Monero is best in class privacy--without a proper education, you can't appreciate what you're holding. Also, Monero is notorious for punishing speculators. If your idea of longterm is a few weeks, you are probably in the wrong place.

Just dont sell now, monero will go up again for sure, but unfortunately maybe you have to wait some months for that to happen.

6 weeks ago Monero was $94 and now is $89.  I am sure you will get profit quite soon and you can buy something else with your Monero.   Good for you you did not bought few months ago when price went over $150. But even if you would buy back then with patience you would get profit. It was so in past and it will be so in future.

If you get impatient when you have less then 10% loss, crypto is definitely not for you!!

This is totally awesome. I just wish you could take it to the bank.

Still one day I hope we will be rewarded for our faith and support.

Ripple, Vertcoin and even Doge have larger communities than Monero! ouch.

Not sure why they even use facebook as a metric for monero, a privacy coin shouldn't have a strong facebook presence.

What's paragon coin? They have a ton of likes. Also, vertcoin's stats don't match their rank, though that could be because of an unlisted metric.

Paragon coin is a shitty ico erc20 coin that advertises incessantly on Facebook and Twitter, which makes it obvious why they have a strong presence there. If you actually look at the comments they get many of them are like "fuck off scammers", but they probably still count as a net positive on gecko rankings since I don't they have any ai to determine positive and negative responses.

We were playing with an AI like this at work the other day. Someone wrote a detector that decides if tweets are happy or angry. It was scarily accurate. We also messed about with  facial recognition thing. Again very good at picking out an identity.

The future is really here. an the tools and services are rippling down to real developers. So much innovation potential. And at the same time we move closer to 1984 the further we get past it.

Really? Because I seem to recall that only a year ago Monero was at 5.07$, now it’s at 88.16$. That’s 17.39 times what it was (meaning it’s up 1739%). For comparison Bitcoin was at 701.33$ a year ago and now is 6373, only 9 times the price (and up 908%). You would have actually been better off to hold Monero for the last year than Bitcoin going by price increase.
