Only the usual Monero-trolling counter-trolling. Everything's fine.

I checked the weekly BTC chart just to realize that the price retraced a 100% from ATH in 10 weeks. We can now proudly call us a common pump&dump!  Grin
Honestly I don't remember the price being in the reds for so long, BTC frenzy sucking all fortune seekers in.

To me it shows how early stage XMR still is, no doubt there will be a morning of awareness for lots of people once the imperative necessity of fungibility kicks in.
Time is our best friend.

Someone played the conspiracy card in regards to Monero's wikipage--though I have a hunch that was to pique conspiracy minded folk enough to click on a pm that was mass executed on reddit with some dubious links--I'm sure a few noobs were baited enough to be caught in the phishing attempt.

Speculation: I think it's a variation of the reverse trolling campaigns we've seen many times before. An adversary (tptb, usual suspects, hostile TLAs, Zcash/Ethereum/Dash etc etc) seeks to paint Monero as a dysfunctional community of vandals. Mission: "Associate Monero with an air of impropriety & transgression & barbarism." Goal: Maximal accumulation of the world's only truly fungible digital cash.

Nice. Smiley

Needless to say, I am a big fan of your new typeface FP...
Awesome response - I have every confidence behind Monero - I'm sure cAPSLOCK is accumulating XMR whilst he/she is FUDding

Quick question... Can you point out where I am "FUDing"?

I do believe that his response was due to an epic reading comprehension failure. Smiley

Although I'm sure he is correct about the accumulating comment just minus any fud. Lol Wink

Well, to be honest... I am pretty Monero over-heavy in my XMR/BTC ratio.  I am currently under my minimum percentage of total BTC goal currently due to dumping it all into XMR on the way down this slide.

In fact I have been as tempted as I ever have been to sell some XMR to get me back to that psychological BTC number.  I've been a little over exuberant buying recently.

The funny thing is, I almost sold some just a couple days ago, but I could not live with the thought that the idiot trolling might have had some subconscious effect.  Which meant it made me hold even a little tighter.  Not sure this was the intended effect, and frankly I am ashamed that it got to me, even if it was to make me hold.

And I have to admit, even while the USD gains made in XMR are steady, the BTC slide has been painful.

The feeling that I've overbought while the price bottoms tells me I'm doing it right.

I can understand BTC envy due to the ongoing ramp, but lately my most massive gains have been on B2X, which doubled between midnight and 6AM this morning, and BCH, which is less exhuberant but more liquid.

And yes, Johnny Mnemonic is quite right that one should, as a rule, rebalance away from the leading asset, into the lagging one, ceteris paribus.

Assuming we've already seen the bottom, then I'd say our next USD high will be around $425. This is a number I'm pulling out of my ass, of course, looking at past performance.

There's been a great deal of GitHub activity these past few days. A lot of commits from Jaqueeee for the wallets, in particular.

Couple this with the fact that Globee are going to have to get their ducks in order well before Christmas (which will mean, inter alia, mobile wallets)
I'm more hopeful then ever that we're going to see some important releases very soon.

It feels to me like one of those times when I felt I had overbought the dip..

...then suddenly realised - as it turned back up - it was the right decision.

I never regretted buying Monero when it got to the 'blood in the streets (even if it's your own)' point.

Because, damn it - Monero never lets you down in the long run.

Bitfinex is probably the premier and most liquid.

Bitfinex closed my account, because I'm in the U.S.  I thought aminorex was in the U.S., too.  Maybe he found another futures market.  What others are there besides Bitfinex?  And why did you answer the question I asked aminorex?

With the latest flee of capitals for the bitcoin fork and the anoncoin attention having been temporarily redirected to zencoin thanks to palms beach recommendations, XMR lost traction and now seems to be time to a good buying range for XMR (at the moment 86$).
