"I Wish I'd Have Just KEPT a TON of the Monero I thought I'd Just "Hold" From 'Way Back When They Were Fucking FIVE CENTS Apiece"

Oh...I can certainly relate to that! I parted with many XMR back in 2015/16 to play with ETH

I bought a bunch a 0.0102 and was happy with that.

Currently 0.01017 at Poloniex. I fear if we break 0.01, then 0.007 wont be far behind.

Looks like this was spot on. Still rubbing my eyes though this morning.

Sad

Wow that was not expected when waking up but nothing new. Seems there is a fight to settle a bottom atm. BTC in a steep rise will make the most coins suffer.

Capitulation

I'm also disappointed that it has fallen under 0.01BTC. But that's why a HODLer has to diversify: while all my altcoins look bad, I'm happy that Bitcoin grows so nicely.
But if one had money only in altcoins (Monero), then yeah, capitulation sentiment can be very real. At least the trust can get shattered badly.

Same. And I'm sure there are a lot of people here who think Monero is best crypto, and not affected by price going slightly down.

Incoming FUD alert.  Tone Vays hating on XMR:

https://youtu.be/7YWNwra9T5k?t=1665

Some notable excerpts:

1) "Monero's privacy is useless."

2) "It's just the Venezuelan peso with privacy."

3) "Monero will never retain value."

4) "I am buying a new computer, even though this one is $3000 and just 2 years old. I abused the hell out of it."  Huh

I suggest that Comment 4 be carefully considered when assessing the credibility of Comments 1--3.

You forgot his most infamous excerpt: $1300 bitcoin. Any of Tone's followers here sell at 3500 waiting to buy back in?  Roll Eyes

Lmao.

And the thread's becoming like a classic pre 2015 altcoin sub thread.  Thanks to gembitz for bringing some classic, nostalgic, western trolling back.  Lolol.

Edit:

Monero has gotten absolutely crushed the last 24 hours.

I know...  Sad.

Apparently this correction was late and now it is same as what happened to other alts last week.  What is good part is that share of Monero in my portfolio decreased. Since Bitcoin price increased and Monero decreased. So I re balanced my portfolio without doing anything. I wonder at what point I will be to much exposed to Bitcoin and will need to correct that.

Buy when there's blood in the streets, even if the blood is your own.

Yep, I've been cost averaging for almost 2 years now after starting from scratch after alphabay. Smiley

I don't even want o know how much underwater I am. Cheesy

People are slow, eventually they will catch on.

I just finished getting my coins off of binance and into cold storage and it took me less than 2 cents per transaction and the first few transactions were already confirmed before I even finished them all. Smiley

Damn this chain works great!
