Lots of things is going on in the crypto world right now, but for sure LTCD is one reason why BTC and LTC is getting a punch right now.
Investors are affraid of this 2gen thingy and want to see whats going to happen in near future.
You are right that it is not normal behavior for this time of year and those guys who thought that BTC and LTC would be 3000/165 $ a pcs in 2015, got to rethink.
LTC and BTC will not die out soon, but they will not be so dominated in the future, LTCD will in the short run (1-2) years take the silver position and then in time depending on lots of factors BTC will be slowly taken over as well.
You can be sure that if LTCD are able to keep the speed as it has right now community and developing wise.... then there is no roof :-)

Only thing we have to consider as a community is the actual name LitecoinDark, in many investors ears, the Dark is equal to something forbidden, so later on in developing we have to consider a name change to make the name more eatable. No Banks, No big investment associations and certainly no governments would be interested in  being linked to a coin with the "dark" in it.
But now im talking future, so maybe the right name would be BTCL = BitcoinLight, just an idea....

Could it be that investors are selling out SHA256 coins to by in equipment for Scrypt.... I think so !

I am sound probably like broken record, but still there is no info from hashlink. It would good to hear from them just yes or no, i mean if some of the coins will be returned or not.

I agree that the name of the coin should be changed in the future. It should sound attractive for investors.

Something that I see as a problem is that if you want to get into the crypto world.. Then you need to buy Bitcoin to buy other coins.

I think we need an exchange where you can buy almost all coins with normal fiat currency so BTC cant affect the price of other altcoins.

I am close to just throwing the last BTC I have into LTCD, but im not sure yet.

I like the coin and all the ideas and the features.. But something is holding me back..

Its the fear that if BTC goes even more down, then LTCD can also be affected.
We need a exchange that can make Fiat to LTCD so that will be setting the price.. Not BTC that sets the price for us.

In the U.K I use bittylicious, they offer about 10 different coins you can purchase via bank transfer, ping it or paym.

Of course to get into crypto it takes ages to transfer from your bank to their bank, then it can take hours to get your coins. Most people use there money to buy things, If I wanted to buy a toaster/laptop, it's currently easier to go a website and pay with card.

Of course if you're already in the crypto game and have coins, it's plenty easy, but the initial purchase of coins needs to be streamlined and made easier

OVER 60% of the outflows of BTC-->fiat are coming from Chinese investors last 36 hours.

I have other coins in my wallets as well and those have been both up and now down, but I haven't sold i just check every week how it looks with those coins.
If I see trend, lets say over a period of 2 month I will make a seel orders based on that trent, not because its goin down one day and then up the next...That is for panic traders and day-traders fighting for penny's.

I just saw that report as well, but you cant look trough the facts that LTCD is the most debated coin in EU and China yesterday.

This isntamine crap is funny as hell. Do people really ecpect miners with massive scrypt rigs not to mine a brandnew coin at the start? Just goes to show how uneducated most of bcointalk users are. Everybody has a minr coins get hammered now a days. just because you didnt mine at the beginning doesnt mean its instamined and tou can cry about it.
