I still don't understand how these bots work and why you would use them. Maybe because I don't have much to play with, I don't want a program screwing around with it. That, I have never seen one in use. Maybe it works for the big fish and benefits them in some way. How do you beat the bot at it's game?

Well, I just hopped into this as soon as it started going down. In some sense; the bot reminds me of when ASICs and Scrypt ASICs got introduced. Man, what a storm went on there.

What's this thing about a 'bot'? Is it a trading bot, like the ones on Cryptsy or no?

Bots are used to make money without having to sit at a keyboard and watch the market happen. Bots are also used to manipulate a coin upward or downward.

The bots on Cryptsy and Bittrex right now are set to drive the price down. Until the bots are killed by being bought out COMPLETELY or until the bot owner decides to turn them off, the price will keep being pushed downward. During this time, miners dumping and panic sellers will set their sell orders cheaper than the bot (not even knowing it is a bot that they are playing against) and thus driving the price even lower.

As miners continue to mine, each day they bring in less and less coins. To make a consistent income, the price needs to rise just a bit every day. When they undersell the low order, not only do they have less coins - but each coin will make them less money. Most of the miners don't get it. They think they have to sell low and sell now before they lose any chance at ROI. If they would collectively get a grasp of what they are doing to themselves, and price upward, they might just see an ROI plus some profit before their rigs become obsolete and thus a net loss.

This will cause potential longer term investors to turn away from the coin because it will look weak.

If instead, everyone set their sell order HIGHER than the current sell order, just by a little bit, the bot will end up being the low-baller and people like me with some BTC to throw around will buy out the bot and let the coin grow. Then all the little guys with just a couple bucks in LTCD will be able to sell higher and actually maybe double or triple their money. Longer term investors will take note and buy in, driving it up even more. Wouldn't be hard for a little guy to turn 10 dollars into a couple hundred within a week, if the little guys would just get a clue.

Bots are good for the financial markets because they are more liquid. someone  set a bot with $1mill trading usd/eur and not even impact it. but cryptos are not liquid enough for these bots.constantly trading.

im not a big player but been around long enough to see when something is being manipulated and in my opinion theres CLEARLY someone or group that is doing just that to LTCD

I'm not a big player, either. But I do have a few more to throw around than most. I'm on a few rich-lists (near the bottom, heh). I've managed to get into a few coins that had people who recognized what I'm trying to convey here. Those coins are still making me money. It sure would be nice to have one more coin in my portfolio that has some hang-time. I already have enough coins that were born and died in 48 hours in a bunch of dead wallets that have absolutely ZERO worth. Lotto Coin, anyone?

It sure would be nice to have one more coin in my portfolio that has some hang-time. tjeez.. dont get me started. think i got about 20 of those wallets if not more lotto being amongst them.(but was abit my own fault because being out of the cryptogame for a while.)

They cant keep it up forever its immpossible. the thing to remember is LTCD is LTCD and it isnt going to disapear anytime soon.
weather these bots/Gypos do manage to take LTCD down in price what will they achieve? People will still see all the development of LTCD goin on and the community behind it pushing it further. So all these bots/Gypos/Fudders are pissing in the wind eventually they will be out of the picture. Could be a week from now or a month but it will happen.

If the undercutters would get out of the way and let us kill the bot, LTCD will grow bigger sooner.

I fail to see why that is so hard for even the slowest thinkers to process.

I'm looking directly at 2 bots. Each has a specific number it sets for amount and moves an exact number of spaces.

There are no gypos. That's a story the kiddies with the twitter disciple have made up. Seriously, those are eastern european teenage trolls just making up stories, stirring up trouble, and laughing at their handywork. The nickel kiddies have been trumped by the teen-troll-trio. And those nickel kiddies won't get out of the way so we can shoot the bots. For the moment, our hands are tied again.
