Why are you guys even discussing the name change when there are still features being developed. I'd much rather keep the name and focus heavily on development.

Agreed, don't put the cart before the horse.

Now is not the time to do this change!! It will be a disaster to do that right now. I think my three name submissions are the best options. But, "NEXT YEAR: JULY 2015 coin name change vote YES/NO!" ~darylluke.
Morning guys,
Please do me a favor and read the last 8 pages, nobody is talking about a name change now. Please read the threath
Haha, sorry. Just read your request after my previous post. I shut up now :-)

Before people start to vote could someone, please make a well informed (backed by evidence) list of pros and cons for lowering the block reward.

Voting without being well informed/educated in the subject is useless and not truely democratic, if not simply dangerous.

I'm not fully informed myself to arrive at competent voting decision. I would definitely like to know more.

Thanks :-)

Price is moving up steadily, buy support growing bigger and bigger as we speak.

Accumulation phase may be about to end.

Would move up better if more people moved from Bittrex to Cryptsy to avoid Bittrex detrimental bot system.

except that Cryptsy has API's too, so where the volume goes the bot(s) will go...

I'm liking all the action. Both on the exchanges as well as on the developer's side.

LTCD could very easily surpass 3k satoshi by the end of this weekend. Possibly even 5k.

In a month's time I'd be shocked if it was any less than 20k satoshi per 1 ltcd.

What are the pros and cons to lowering the reward? I'm trying to get a grasp as to what this would mean for the community, the coin and my investment. Thanks guys!

Lower rewards make a coin less lucrative to mine, can make coin more valuable Tongue

Yes but are they wanting to A) lower total coin per block with same amount of blocks or B) lower coin per block and extend blocks to have a longer mining phase?

I am kinda confused about just lowering coin count. It hasn't been explained to well specifically what they mean by lowering coin count.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

Double no.. We don't want this coin on rinky dink exchanges.. It takes away from it's overall value.

Multiple things. The fact that the roadmap is detailing essentially everything necessary for this coin to dominate already.

That, and the fact that news about its usages can only stay quiet from the masses for so long. It's only a short matter time until word gets out and it takes off for the moon and eventually Andromeda galaxy.

Polo is the exact opposite of what you are trying to implement, Great people, Great Service, Speedy Support system. ALSO the daily volume to speak for itself.

First to keep the coin mineable for a longer period of time.
Second the multipools will stay away from the coin some time and perhaps preventing dumping.
Third More widely spread volumes and possibility to make POS.

Thats the things that comes to my mind by lowering the reward.
