You are forgetting burning people at the stake, slavery, pedophilia, crusades, killing gays or people working on the Sabbath. All of these 'recommendations' are in your Bible. If you are real Christian, you should be doing what your Bible tells you.  Then you'll be no different than ISIS followers.

If there was slightly different social/political environment in Western countries, Christians would be doing what ISIS is doing.  Thanks to science and secularization we use reason to decides what is moral, what behavior is acceptable.  Problem is that most religious people don't actually read their holy books.  If they did without cherry picking, they would burn them.

I most certainly am saying Islam is worse that Christianity.  I am most certainly saying "look at the actual numbers," and make judgements from them.  The actual numbers show a huge problem with violence in Muslim sects, and hardly any such problem with Christian sects.  You wind up agreeing with me - bolded section.

I think this is a very fair way to look at the matter.  I understand the arguments about one old book being just as encouraging of violence as the other, and the arguments about Christians doing this and that in ancient times.  But we are dealing with problems of TODAY, and to understand them we need to look at how things are today.  So go look at the behavior of Muslims, and the behavior of Christians, TODAY.  Then determine whatever and whereever the facts lead you.  Also understand you are looking not just at "religions," but at cultural and social environments underlaying those religions.

You know I think it might be WWII guilt because we saw similar policies of re-settlement of Jews and German Russians in exile.  They were taking them left and right, no matter what.  I personally know of many Russians who went to Germany on fake paperwork.  No word of German, no German ancestry.  They opened the gates to Jews similar to what they are doing now to Muslims.

Problem now is that they will have to integrate them into mainstream society.  And we all know how flexible Muslims and Christians are.  The rate of this influx will be a problem.
