The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Congrats on the block find Smiley.  Love to see the small pools finding blocks!

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.

I just wish there were a few more of them but the hashrate just isn't big enough. Still I hold out hope that they are at least in the green or black these days.

The fact that they're even finding blocks is pretty encouraging; these kinds of pools haven't died yet and probably won't die for quite some time. I still support them with a bit of hashrate every now and then as they're one of the original and clean pools. I still have memories of using U1 and U2 miners on the pool and getting some nice btc from em as the GUI was very easy to use.

i use bitminter for the last 2 years if i remember good.
I tried some other pools back then for 1 week each. and i came up with the opinion that at that time was the best option.
i have some antminers over there and very happy with results.

by the way i would like to buy some more now but i am outside the trends for the last 2 years... if have any kind of proposal for what to buy and of course connect it also to bitminter let me know

Damn it's been quite a while since we've hit a block. I've been chugging along with one S3 on the pool, glad to see that it's still making me something Smiley variance is high on pools like Bitminter but they still get blocks.

You runs PCs that mine bitcoins? Thats pointless you wont earn enough on either method to get a payout wothin a year.

Good thing you dont mine btc woth them. Not quite sure why you are talking about mining alts with your PCs as this is a btc pool.

Oops. Announcing BTC blocks through the Yo app recently broke. Now working again.

If you wish to receive a "yo" when we find a block, subscribe to BITMINTED

The fee for sending bitcoin with the "send coins" mechanism on the website has been raised to 0.0004 BTC (it was 0.0001 BTC). This reflects the higher cost of sending bitcoin today.

Remember you can instead send bitcoins using "my account" -> "auto cash out" in the website menu. This is free. The pool pays the fee for you.

The fee for "send coins" can hopefully be reduced again in the future when a bitcoin scaling solution goes in effect and transactions don't clog up the way they do today. Bitminter blocks are voting to activate segwit.

Thank DrHaribo,
i read very interesting topics... all very clear and no need to ask more there Smiley like here everything is clear thanks for proposal.
But after some days that i tried i saw that is not efficient for Alts with my current configuration.... And i just turn on again some S3 miners (i use 2 psu on each of 650W) psu went of some weeks before...
Of course i connect them also to Bitminter.... i can't recall what was the name of the 1st pool i used to mine with my GPU back in 2012 i think that after some time closed? but anyway after that   , Bitminter is my 1st option for Btc mining !

Congrats on the block find Smiley.  Love to see the small pools finding blocks!

Agreed!

I mined here for a while and didn't find anything, so I switched.  Bitminter was one of the best and I really like the GUI, but I also like seeing more in graphs.  Oh ... and finding blocks  Embarrassed

I had my S3 pointed at it while I was learning.  I don't feel comfortable discussing the use of a different PPLNS pool in this forum, but you can PM me if interested.

I really wish Bitminter good luck!  I think with a few tweaks it could be bombing.  I really like the GUI, apps and tx fees.

The "accessible to all" type market has really moved to PPS.  It would take significant VC funds to set up a PPS, but it would be nice to have one with lower fees and included tx fees (even if as a bonus).

Not sure ... perhaps simply really, really good luck would help, i.e., block after block with low PH.
