I've got my S9's up and going. happy they are all running perfect, no complaints. Granted they've only been running about 10 minutes lol.
Definitely not a complaint or request for action from kano because we all know the situation w/ the S9 software :|, but on my S9 I'm seeing a lot of [2016-06-15 19:03:19] Lost 10 shares due to no stratum share response from pool 0
from bmminer during times when my connectivity to the pool seems fine --- stratum.kano.is ping statistics --- 421 packets transmitted, 421 packets received, 0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max = 43.771/57.694/94.641 ms
I'll put something running stock cgminer on the same network segment to make sure it's not happening there.

I assign them through gryptoglance. Hit it with one of my s9's its only been plugged in for 4 hours. It's about time to thought it would never happen.

I am tempted to point my S9 to solo.ckpool.org ... who knows what surprise this S9 can bring!

[2016-06-15 19:03:19] Lost 10 shares due to no stratum share response from pool 0
from bmminer during times when my connectivity to the pool seems fine Even though cgminer has had a stable release out for over 6 months with this fixed, there's an extremely high chance they have an out of date version of cgminer which isn't handling the pings from ckpool and misinterpreting the ping command as a share. BM have been notoriously bad at keeping their code in sync with master cgminer - basically they haven't. So does this suggest that the S9's will underperform on Kano (or maybe everywhere)? And why did they rename cgminer to bmminer? @E how often are you seeing this?

And why did they rename cgminer to bmminer? No. It's just harmless irrelevant noise. As to why they renamed it? Beats me, probably marketing, but there's nothing that stops you renaming a forked version of GPL licensed software provided you make your source modifications also freely available. That's how the other infamous hostile fork was created from cgminer as well. Not to mention heaps of altcoin variant forks based on cgminer code.

If coins crash to 400 almost most all miners will shut off other then s-9s at the ½ ing an s-7 at 400 a coin and 8 cent power loses money so for the 1200ph pre s-9 gear to keep mining it needs a price of 700 with 7 cent power. so a huge amount of gear is going to fall if we drop back down to 400 a coin. at 500 a coin all gear older then the s-9 needs 9 cent power for a small profit at 600 a coin all gear older then the s-9 needs 11 cent power for a tiny profit lastly at 700 a coin all gear older then the s-9 needs 12 cent power for a tiny profit. So 1200ph gear is ready to be dead with a drop to 350-400 a coin. Bitmaintech public shows more then 40,000 coins in one address. All we need a big sell off and coin drop and diff will tank this is a profit move for s-9 owners. the other side is coins go to the moon a fiat profit move for s-9 owners. the bad for the s-9 owners is stable coin at 650-750 usd

All I'm interested in for the short term is staying in the black and accumulating coin. I can make a profit on my S3s down to whatever spot price, due to no power cost and the units are long past ROI. With what I'm paying for power with the S7s (and they're past ROI as well), they'll stay profitable after the halving even with a dip in spot. I'll have to use a sizeable portion for upgrading to S9s, but even so I can still build my coin.
I heard the dogsled arrived today. Last S7 should be online shortly. Mine on...
