my young padawan... missing alot, you have no idea.

BLOCK!!!!!

And lots of payments to my wallet!

... LOL only 1 payment, I am too excited every time there's a block... can't decide should I check wallet first or block details!

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

CKDB went down at 6:33 UTC and ckpool went into cardiac arrest because of it.
Most miners on the pool will have failed over to their backup pools.

Unfortuantely the CKDB crash meant that it did a core dump that slowed everything down for 15minutes while it did that.

CKDB is restarting and will be up in about 10 more minutes.
CKPool was ok after the 15 minutes.

Of course no data was lost, and all is OK, just, of course, a lot of people were not mining on the pool for that 15 minutes.

Edit: CKDB restart complete also - 07:03 UTC

Indeed the delays getting those better payouts here on kano.is are much lower here than on p2pool ...

This is interesting, the 3 blocks right before the Kano block were tiny...and two of them were zero blocks!

Hello fellow miners! I'm quite happy after a 9-block day and 5 blocks today with plenty of hours left  Grin

I have a question about CKPool payouts: I joined the pool in april, and I haven't set a payout address yet. I wanted to add up a few BTC before requesting payout.

If I set a payout address now, will I receive the total rewards I have in the pool, or do I have to request a manual payout?

Also, can I remove the payout address after receiving the payout? I would like to add up a bit again.  Smiley

Thanks, keep on mining!

Kano.is isn't a bank Tongue
Banks charge fees for extra transactions Tongue

You have to ask for a manual payout if you want your balance, if it's more than a few (bazillion) dollars.
I only pay to the address on the account and no you can't remove it.

Hi Kano, big fan here! Thanks for clearing it up.

I'll set a payout address on my account and I'll PM you requesting the manual payout.

Keep up the good work on the pool!  Cheesy

Of course.. just my luck.

We get back into the green and have some really good block days and of course i have most of my machines down for the whole week due to family being in town for a wedding. how am i supposed to hit ROI if family thinks they can crash at my house for free room/board when they are in town.

managed to keep 2 batch 7s running using wifi adapters and stashing them in the garage so its not a total lose this week but still sucks to be down.

Who says the room and board has to be free?!  recoup your costs, this should be seen an opportunity!

One really cool thing is the block activity over the past 4 days has bumped the May pool performance into the positive territory.  At the current difficulty the 100% expected average is 0.00258894 BTC/TH/Day and the Kano CKPool is currently at an average of 0.00271960  BTC/TH/Day.

That would put us at 105.05% currently after all of the ugly red we experienced earlier in the month!  Cheesy

I love it! Thanks for the analysis.

We're on our way to "greening up" the 100 block stats for a fully green stats page! We can do it!

Unrelated: I don't want to let my rentals die, but I'm always wary of renting through a diff change. Not cause of the pool, but cause it seems risky and NH rates are always barely at PPS break-even to begin with... Might have to let them cool for a few days and come back. Trusty S3 will continue to chug along in my office in the meantime.

i look at it as an investment in future free accommodations for myself. the family that is staying with me lives in Isle of Man where they hold the TT race. Planning on going next year and going to stay with them, since they live right on part of the course.
