Edit: oh you did it last night. Edit2: so that means as expected, none of the blocks since 22hours ago when you did it, have matured.

Nice rebound indeed! After mining here for 5 months now, I've learned to relax during those 20+ hour dry spells and just relax. (I know, easy for me to say bc I don't have a big investment in hardware). It does amaze me how this pool always recovers from those red blocks & goes right back to green. Happy mining!

looks like monday I will be taking my S7's offline and putting 4 S9's online! Woot!
on another note, does anyone use genesis mining? Is it worth it to buy a couple of those x11 contracts and point them at the pool, or is it a waste of time?

They were the ones withholding on Slush. They obviously were testing their mining proxy/system live mining on Slush and it was fuxored, withholding blocks. Testing code on a live pool means you are asking every other miner on the pool to risk losing BTC with your testing, rather than risk it all yourself. Scum bags. They should have solo mined to test their code until they found some blocks and thus knew it could at least do that. I'd not go near them. Though ... I guess I should try find out where they mine from and block them ... ... ...

Well, glad I got my 5nD in a relatively decent place before these yahoos started renting all the hash at 13% above market...

good to know that this pool just keeps chugging along regardless of what happens. got busy with irl stuff and come back and the thread has grown 30 pages and we are still knocking out the blocks at a decent pace. now i gotta buy myself a few more s9s and sell off the s7s i have so i dont go broke paying for power.

Does your 5nd start over if you Restart your miner?

Does your 5nd start over if you Restart your miner?
A simple restart will not really effect your 5ND. If it stays off for hours it will. I think the 5ND is an average over approximately 35 hours. Just as it takes about 1 1/2 days to stabilize your 5ND, it would take that long with your miner off to drop down to zero. That's just my take on it. Perhaps others will have a better answer. Hope that helps.

So for the first time ever during a short period of bad luck I've stuck with a pool, that will be here. Instead of pool jumping and getting nervous I'm just gonna ride it out and stick with you guys and gals.
To be fair, you all sound an interesting bunch on here and seem fairly friendly.
Catch you all soon.
Happy hashing Kano dudes!

We always come back stronger after a short period of bad luck. I would imagine that after some of our pool members get their new S9's online that our hash rate will move back up into the mid 40's where (I think) we do best. My S9 will be online tomorrow to compliment my three S7's.

I've spent the holiday money to double up but when I've earned it back I'll sell up and buy some S9's. The wife needs a summer holiday, hope the plan works lol.

Welcome to Kano Pool You will see it's a great community and i am sure you will enjoy it! PS : new block Great plan, I had to learn that one the hard way. We had a string of bad luck a few months ago and I started pool hopping. Bad choice on my part. EDIT: Oh and welcome.
