While I see a block of time on Zach's monitor that the pool seemed to be down...I didn't notice any issues here with the S3s. No beeps, etc., and no indications of any failover time. Everything here is pointed to kano.is.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

The linode nodes DE,SG both lost connection with the pool at ~17:43 UTC
They've been connecting on and off since then, but DE seems to not be able to stay connected at all.

DK lost connection at ~17:49 and seems to have connected again as at 18:05 but hasn't stayed connected either.

JP is showing no problems.
FR disconnected once at 18:05 but reconnected straight away.

All the MTRs suggest it's all to do with *.he.net which links some of USA<->EU and also to SG
My direct connection to the pool drops out also.

... looks like everything has finally connected again just now.

Took out one s7, remote PDU cycled and fixed.

One of my s7's had a 113 billion best share.

Had forgotten that I have a histogram ping running against stratum.kano.is. I should have been watching that.

We should get a block soon after this snafu. Smiley

Still having trouble with DK and DE Sad
They both just dropped the network to the pool again.
DE has reconnected, DK still not as yet.

The others are OK.

Edit: DE has stayed connected after the reconnect, DK has reconnected 8 minutes ago and been ok so far.

Little off-topic, but since Kano.is is "the Avalon pool":
Canaan Creative Avalon 7.0 might be on the way for release.

From "Avalon ASIC users thread":

good i have 6+ coins.

i hope to get them.

i will hold back any more s-9 orders.

would be nice if these are .09 efficient and 10th.

making them a 900 watt miner.

If they come I will be trying to do a group buy for moq.

Sounds good Phil. I'm also hoping they make a 900 watt -ish miner.
I could use the Enermax Revolution87+ 1000W PSU from the good old S2 and sell/scrap the S2.

Looks like NH is taking a hit with their new "scheme". 11ph on westhash. No one wants to sell hashrate ,price too low. Should have just left it alone.
Pretty stable for renters. Price does not/can not move around much.

EDIT: no whales in the renting area

Haven't seen anything on the Avalon site yet, but...

Since I plan on waiting until the units get online, and the halving settles out, to do anything about more hardware, that might be good to see if the Avalon 7 comes to be. At any rate, I'm becoming rapidly more inclined to just go with the 6's if that's what is available by that time. The hash rate is less than an S7, but so is the power consumption, and the upfront cost.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

... it was a Juvia block Smiley

WOW... hope Juvia will bring all her other 99 friends to give us more blocks today!
Well, she brought one so far Smiley
This next block, found by 17JVLWMAk... is a Lucy block. Both Juvia and Lucy are from Fairy Tail Smiley
... and just to complete the set, that last block (so 3 out of 4) was Ur who is also from Fairy Tail Smiley
There's 3 Fairy Tail characters in the shift name list. That's all 3.

Was rather difficult to find a 'U' character so I ended up with a rather obscure one.
Ur's an Ice mage, Gray's mentor. Gray happens to be the one that Juvia is all gaga about Smiley
Juvia's a water mage, so she and Gray are somewhat similar.

Count me in Phil.

I have so far about 4.2 coins raised for additional S9s, but I would like to buy some insurance and get an Avalon or two.

Meanwhile, I will put this balance to work and send more hash to kano pool - the coins wont grow just sitting in Coinbase.

Be careful with coinbase. More than a few people's lately have been having problems with getting their money out of there lately.

So far so good with Coinbase actually but once you put coins into the Vault-mode accounts - it takes ages to take it out due to a few layers of security and 3 day waiting period - now thats badass security ... on hindsight - I am glad Coinbase has these feature for my own good.

wow.. Kano

read the thread and I thought I was in wrong page... you guys were talking in MHs? 400GH/s GPUs, do you still have your ATI-6950 card? I am not technical enough to connect the dots here but it's intriguing to note that before the age of ASICs you guys (ie. early community) could have done something about it... just my observation, correct me if I am wrong

I like this one....
