Looks like you are getting 13Th/s on average on each of your S-9s. I thought they were designed to run at 14Th/s?

Board/chip temps at 65/95 are out of parameter, it would seem, and would cause that. My next "thing" would be to open the case to make sure the heatsinks were clean and the board seated well, etc. Obviously I don't pay a lot of attention to "don't open the case or you invalidate the warranty" warnings...

Overall the S9s seem to be doing well. I saw someone's comment (don't remember who) remarking on hash rates, and that they thought the S9 was supposed to do 14TH. I think that was only Batch 1. They're now spec'd at 12.9. That's still pretty good.

Mine on...

EDIT: Phillip just posted on the heatsink item...makes sense. I wouldn't have known as I haven't seen the inside yet. Thanks, Phil!  Cool

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

I have them clocked at 587 and 600 at the moment.

We are waiting for 2 batch 2's

we will access  the heat when they are put in.

I think in the summer we will do about 587 to 625 clocks.

After learning about 5ND and experiencing it in action, I never turned back.

The 5ND method is one of the best systems for steady mining i guess, as far as im not in a way an expert, but i proved for myself that it worked better for my s7's that were working simultaneously at 4 different pools for a week or so.

This 5ND thing is fantastic, i shut down the miners from 1540 to 1710 (UTC+8) to connect & energize new power line (240v 3PH 40A Cool ) to the miners' room, my "N Avg/ miner rewards" only dropped about 5% for today's 6 blocks.

And i notice each time Kano restart the CKDB , we have blocks party Grin Grin

"Board/chip temps at 65/95 are out of parameter" ,
I dont think you are right on this one Smiley maybe im wrong ...  in my past experience is , i got the best hashing power when my miners was running around 60-65C. Always try to keep them in that temp range . i would say 70C is still absolutely safe for the board , core temp for the chips can go around 100C without any problem , lower is better of course Smiley

Cool

What I meant was that they were not in line with the other components' temps. It's moot now as Philipma's post explained it.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)
