Yay one of my puppies found another block on the 2nd.. I think thats like 3 now Also like it when we find blocks fast when the hashrate is low, much nicer getting bigger chunks of the pie Thanks kano for running an awesome pool. The Pool->Acclaim page says you've found 4 350247, 355076, 359857, 372741 Payout 373063 sent be940570db7a074686b71fcc8c2a3fb16a3f0038183e1c5eb9007bfbd17b9586 and confirmed

No, it's a pool using PPLNS.

The frontend has been down for a while, i believe? CKPool Monitor hasn't updated any data for about an hour so i'm guessing the API is down along with the frontend.

Yes, was just checking on 1 setup and it had switched over to solo-ck, so checked the S3+ and it's switched also, saying kano pool is dead.

Depends on your IP address that you use to access the site. I randomly put blocks on certain high I/O IP addresses. PM me the IP address you are using to access and I'll check.

Kano,
I am not sure if this is of any relevance ... I cannot connect to your website... more-so I rebooted a miner on routine maintenance and your pool is now also dead to me..
I am not rebooting my other miners for fear of losing all contact with the pool..
I sent you my IP so you can look into it at your leisure
Thanks in advance

Hmm eventually the pool went dead but i was mining still with no problem, while the frontend was down. But now my miners all failed over. Weird.

If miners connected before the DNS outage, then provided there is no interruption to their connection they will remain connected to the IP address they used. If they try to reconnect for whatever reason, a domain name lookup will fail and then they will fail to reconnect. Most miners have not failed over during this DNS outage for that reason.

Hah, yes you are right. Only the 2 miners that was rebooted have not managed to reconnect. Well i guess i could connect with the IP. But it seemed more that my ip range (montréal) was somehow blocked somehow? Regardless i sent my IP to Kano as requested.

No, it's a pool using PPLNS. If I was mining at ck's pool.. now that would be a different story.. Or I could have not got any there.. I'm just happy to contribute and have helped everyone move the dial a little more.

Yeah, sigh, it's another DNS issue like back in April. I had thought I'd resolved that by adding 2 more backup DNS servers but that hasn't handled the master DNS server failing. DNS will be back up as soon as the master is rebooted ... still awaiting for that ticket I raised almost 3 hours ago

Not very pricy either when you have only a few domains and you can make the TTL long to cut down on the queries.

Guess I can try to resolve it myself, but if DNS isn't working I may have a struggle

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function. Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.
