Indeed...although I've been causing pain for my manicurist over the last several days while boxes sat in customs...oh, well...

If I remember correctly, this is pretty much the profile we saw at the last halving. I'm not expecting a whole lot to happen to spot at the actual event; most of what will happen with it is built on anticipation, I think. It's still supply & demand; BTC is more like a commodity in that respect. I also think we've got another 3-4 yrs of good mining, and I'm primarily concerned with building equity...although I do like my "stuff" like drones and monster mobos as well as the next nerd... Cool

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

hi guys

id like to put a rental to nice hash. which port and stratum do you guys suggest and should i set a minimum worker difficulty on the worker page?

thanks

edit: Keep getting disconnected on port 3333 for too low difficulty. i ova already set difficulty to 2048 at ckpool

The same thing happened to me last week with a 10Th rental so I just gave it a larger diff (9949) and it straightened itself out...

It was from a rental from MRR that must have hit it. None of my S7's show a block being found.

Yep and with a BDR of 0.9 that's pretty good timing and luck Smiley

As I understand it, a BDR less than 1 and finds a block is very lucky. Correct?

As I understand it, a BDR less than 1 and finds a block is very lucky. Correct?
Well, ~2/3 of blocks are expected, on average, to be under 100%, but overall block average is expected to be 100%
So being better than average is good luck yes Smiley

A BDR of 1 is comparable to a 100% Diff block and a BDR of 0.9 is comparable to a 90% Diff block.

port 3333 should work fine at NH or MRR.

You can also try any of:
stratum+tcp://stratum81.kano.is:81
stratum+tcp://stratum443.kano.is:443
stratum+tcp://stratum8080.kano.is:8080

For setting difficulty.... I have experimented tweaking this in the past... lessons learnt, just leave it alone and let stratum manage it - it's a ckpool awesome sw after all!

Well as long as you've been mining for ~5 days or more, you should be above 100% Smiley

Remember, the "9.3days"
Code:
Last 50 Blocks  9.3days  101.3%  85.52%  85.51%  0.1513      116.94% Luck
Includes the current red blocks.

No, your payments I put on hold after you asked me to, have not been sent yet.
That requires a manual transaction.

I re-enabled block payouts for you in the last batch I processed, thus you got payouts in this last block.
The ones held will require me to do a manual transaction which I'd not do until the payouts were back to normal for you (which they finally are now with this block)
So some time tomorrow I'll manually do a transaction for your outstanding ones.
