Wanted to chime in on the A7 741 and 721. They both seem to get pool side around 10% more consistent. I found the reason for that slightly higher invalid rate, was stale. I have a bad connection, so I made it so I send around 1 share every 10 seconds via difficulty. Now I'm normal, these babies love this pool.
Yum these transaction fees are tasty.

Yeah that last one is actually the highest we've had since the halving. I had to modify my payout processing scripts yesterday coz they didn't allow '14' (there are lots of checks and balances in the processing)

Hi Kano,
Could you give me all the server we have and list them on the home page kano.is? (I heard we have New York....)
Regards,
nya.kano.is (new york) de.kano.is (frankfurt) jp.kano.is (tokyo) nl.kano.is (amsterdam) sg.kano.is (singapore) ... and at 5:48 UTC, and intermittently over the hour after that, there were network problems at the NL node. Thus anyone mining to NL would probably have had a couple of failovers during that time.

We saw this in the past, it might be someone with a fat click error like 0.01 without the 0.0 ;-) I think a pool admin did return the BTC to the owner of a big fees mistake last year. Cannot remember which one. I remember that happening as well...before my time in this pool...can't remember which, either. But then, I usually can't remember what I had for dinner last night....comes with living hard and old age, methinks. 97 btc fee and anthill or f2pool sent it back. but like you i lived hard for quite a few years so quite a bit gets forgotten. Be gentle on both of you please ;-) What were you guys talking about..I can't remember may be they r talking about this block https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/block/409008

Hey all! While waiting on my other PAINFULLY SLOW windoze laptop to update, I just dropped in to see how ya'll are doing. Glad to see the pool is above expected. Sorry to see that the expected is so low, however. Man, if I had 10, 15 or even 1PH, I'd point it all at Kano this instant and leave it here!! It's truly heartbreaking for me to see such a large majority of the worlds hash rate controlled and centered in one area. And there is not thing-one me, you or anyone else can do about it as individuals. I just bought a Powerball lottery ticket today on the way home from work. If I miraculously get struck by lightning twice while sitting here at my desk (which are about what the odds would be..) I would buy a farm full of Avalons and point them all in proper, ratio to a carefully selected combination of Western pools. Then with the many millions I have left over, I would hire the brightest minds from the world over to create the absolute best miner the world has ever seen. My miners would all come with random pool IP addresses as defaults. Everyone being equal as the production line hums along producing below $1,000 miners with hash speeds somewhere between 15-20TH each. Okay, well I think my windoze laptop has rebooted for the final time and I can actually get back to being somewhat productive. I have spent the last hour cursing the damn piece of hardware/software. My fantasy dreamland is over with for now. But if you see a few hundred PH magically appear out of nowhere in the next few months, you can think of me. Maybe I'm the one! Best wishes and blessings, one and all!!!! Time for some BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So part of that freaking damn update for Windows 10 version 1607 failed. WINDOWS UPDATE = CONSTANT HEADACHE. Like it's done on about 1/2 of the PC's at work that have win10. What a sorry piece of excuse for an OS. The thing tries to be the swiss army knife of OS's. It tries to do everything instead of trying to do a few really important things well. Instead it does a lot of things mostly poorly. I apologize for my OT rants. Let's see some blocks fall into pockets!! Good luck folks!

So I decided to take a plunge and get me an A721. It's hashing here nicely at 6+ TH. Given that A721 comes pre-configured with kano.is, I thought I'd ask my n00b question here...
I see that the 12/29 firmware updates contain a number of features that give control over the voltage, handle the fan better, etc. My question is, given there is a controller and MM firmware update, is there a preferred order in which the updates should be applied and are there any gotchas?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Congratulations on your new Avalon A721!! I'm sorry that I don't have an answer for you as I've never owned an Avalon. But this would be the place to ask as Kano has put out a few tips and settings that should be applied to those miners. He's also personally running some Avalon's on the pool. I can't point you to the posts but they were a while back when the new Avalon's first came out. it's also great to hear that these miner come with Kano as a pre-configured setting. First I've heard of that. Very nice! I want a 741 very, very badly! Good luck and comeonblockssssssssssssssssssssssss!

Well...I don't mind the Winbloze rants myself, but then I'm one of those Linux loonies... All that aside, I've been spending an inordinate amount of time helping a number of folks who (1) lost assorted drivers, (2) had various 3rd party security software hamstrung, requiring a reinstall, and/or (3) get a BSOD for no apparent reason after the build that apparently came out last week. There was, sadly, nothing to do but do the reinstalls to recover, and hope that the next build would fix the bugs. They haven't called for more help since Saturday, so I guess the tweak got done. I love it when a plan comes together (sarcasm alert).

Have the payouts for block 451953 and 451974 been sent out yet?
Those were the last two blocks mined and to reach maturity (101 confirmations). Since a block hasn't been found by the pool in over 56 hours, the short answer is "No". The long answer is, they should pay after the next block is found by the pool. Since I'm not paying close attention to the pool payouts, I can't say that my answer is 100% correct. But it's probably close.

There's no gotchas. I also don't think it matters what order you do the updates, but you may as well do them at the same time if you are going to do them And yeah the default pool settings in the Canaan Avalon miners are for here
