Well as long as it's in the TH+ range you'll get rewards paid each block Smiley
Dust (less than 10,000 satoshi) gathers in the corner for some far future code update (but shows on your rewards page)

Though, if you mean renting, I'd advise against it, since it's typically a net BTC loss.

Well it's pretty straight forward for miners with a web interface.
The table on the front of https://kano.is/ shows the basics for the web setup of miners.

If you are in the west to middle US then use the default stratum connection there.

If you are anywhere else use one of the nodes:
NYA (new york) DE (germany) NL (amsterdam) SG (singapore) JP (japan)

So e.g. NYA would be stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:3333

You can ping them to compare.
If you are equally close to NL and DE, then use NL.

noob here...just ordered 2 Antminer S9's  and have been looking at many pools to decide to start in... they are the 14.5 TH/s batch that just shipped....Will the 2 S9's in this pool be able to get me around 0.4 bitcoin per month?

Well the amount you get on any pool will drop every 2 week, so you wouldn't expect it to stay the same even for one month.

Here, you expect to average around 106% * 99% * 99.1% PPS = ~104% PPS
106% is the average txn fees added for the last 100 blocks
99% is subtracting 1% for orphans
99.1% is subtracting 0.9% for the pool fee

So any calculator that can tell you what the current 100% PPS is, you'd expect to average about 4% more.
Which is more than any of the larger pools.

However, the PPLNS variance here is quite noticeable, so you won't expect the same amount even every week, since it goes up and down around that 104% mark.
Pool luck decides what you actually get.

100% PPS per day for 29THs is currently ~0.016544BTC per day

Hello Kano...Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like Ive found a home for my miners. A few of us here in Las Vegas decided to start a small set up and see how it goes. We all realize its a long term investment thing and understand that it may be too hard to mine from a basement...Smiley We have resources to add more Hash Power if need be... Problem I see will be during summer here in Las Vegas...but plan on using dryer ducting to route hot air directly outside. Will be registering new workers ASAP we have 2 S9 units that are coming on the March 7th Batch...They say 14.5 TH/s   we shall see. May have more questions in future but I am a quick learner... Instead of putting my money in slot machines I put it into Bitcoin atm machines and buy Bitcoin, winner every time!

Good choice by mining here!  Kano is very transparent with fees and how he operates the pool.

Wow, BTC price hit $1126USD today and is still rising.  This matches the highs from January. Grin

It's not too far off of the all-time high.

Wow, BTC price hit $1126USD today and is still rising.

Economics would suggest around $1200 to keep a par with the block halving in July. It's nice to see it getting up, especially as miners because we get the the same amount of BTC no matter the conversion Smiley.

Glad to have pointed my first 13.5 S9 at the pool  Grin  I am looking forward to the next one, in a week, but still need a PSU.

far from it, you forgot about difficulty rise on the top of halving.
we are getting about 2.5 less per th on top of 2X less due to halving.
However, we got 2.5 times more efficient machines, so it is not as bad, but it will be if price rise stops or reverses and difficulty continues to rise for a bit.
