Quick question for miners on Kano.is ...

I pointed 1 of my new S9s to Kano ..to try out this pool.  I get that it takes 5 days to ramp ... but for some reason, i only got 1 reward so far (on my 2nd day only), at 0.00100987 btc.  day 3, 4 and 5 I had zero reward/payout.

Can someone elaborate why this is the case?  I thought it would ramp consistently, and get sequentially more each day over the 1st 5 days.

At the current rate, if this persists, i'm not gonna point my other S9s ... cos im getting pretty consistent 0.0018 on slushpool and 0.002 on antpool per S9.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I should start a website and guarantee miners payouts per day. Then take the hash power and point it here and bank on the difference.

I just joined the pool, but I think that is the problem that will keep it from growing. People seem to think that because they get paid more, they are making more money. Also, the 15 day ramp up as well. Too many don't do their research and want instant gratification.

The pool has grown almost 50% since the beginning of the month (30 PH to 45 PH), so that is a good sign to stay around the 3 day block luck average, even after the next difficulty increase tonight. Once more and more people do the pool hopping around like I did, and realize how much better it is to be here instead of what the bigger pools do to the "little guy", it will hopefully grow at a bigger rate as more and more blocks are found.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

if just half the users at the pool add 20Th we'll gain another 16PH which will make it a full double from 30PH!

ok ... have been trying to interpret some of the previous posts ... apologies for the fast fingers on my most recent one ....

if i add more hashrate to my group (i.e. adding 7 other S9 workers to my account) .. will that help me ramp faster? or each worker will need to ramp on its own?

Each worker 'ramps' on its own.  Think # of shares instead of time and it makes more sense!

Well, I will be adding 68TH in the next 2-3 weeks. As soon as I find a host Sad

While the S9's each ramp up separately, you would be producing more total shares as they ramp up and earn more per block found as well. The ramping up may seem like a hurdle, but you have to remember there is always a "ramp down" period that is equal to the ramp up period. If you ever move machines or unplug them, you get rewards from blocks found after that even when you don't have your hashrate in the pool at the time.

I'm in MO USA with 8 cent electric. Have access to a warehouse, and thinking of starting a host site. To make it worth it we would need a few miners. I'm supposed to hear back from some people in the next week. I will keep you all updated if we get something going. If you were serious and wanted to meet and great that could be arranged. Mine on

I could be interested in this. I'm in NWA, what part of MO you in, or should I say, is the warehouse in?

Use PM to discuss this please - it's OK to post about it, but in the same manner as selling machines, discussion about working out the details should be done in PM

ok, seeing as the last time I - *jumped on the pool*, we found the block... In the same spirit, I added another 8TH.  I suppose you could call it another 16TH as I added another 8 immediately after that last block.

So, I apologize if this is a stupid question or has been asked before in this massive thread...
Is it correct that as the overall pool hash rate goes up, the overall payout per share goes down?
Would this then also mean the hashrate below which only dust payouts are given keeps going up.

I am a bit concerned that if I am not able to add more hashrate to my measly 26-27TH and the pool grows by a lot, then the rewards per block will get to the dust level.
I know that is probably a long way off but it is still a thought that crossed my mind.  Is there a way to calculate where the "dust-only" cut-off is?

(Disclaimer:  I hope to add another 11TH in March when the 821 gets delivered so maybe I should just stop worrying about it - feel free to tell me that  Smiley)

Overall pool hash rate going up means pay per block goes down, but frequency of blocks found goes up.
