i was standing up a new miner against kano.is just now - cgminer won't initialize, other pools work fine though. So maybe if your already part of the pool your good, if your just joining going to have to wait it seems.

Yep - cgminer's already connected to a pool server will continue operating normally until the connection drops because it already knows the IP of the server and has no need for DNS lookup Smiley

Kano, not sure who you are using for DNS, but for my important servers, I use DnsMadeEasy.com which has the ability for automatic failover, has about half a dozen name servers for each account and is super reliable for $60 per year.  Not sure what you are using, but I have had this running for over 5 years without a single outage (that I know of - only monitored at the beginning of each minute).

My miners were not disrupted at all. Only HTTP issue with the site.

Yep, miners continued.  But they need to find this block, I just don't like this block for whatever reason.

Only issue I had is that I found another one of my old uv/uc s7's hiding in a corner (thought I had sent them all to Sidehack...) and when I brought it online it had immediately failed over to my #3 pool which was the de node. Now all 3 are showing alive so it's working off of the nya node. Another 3.2THs on the pool w00t!

Yes, I woke up to some weird DNS issues at home also - seems it's a dreaded AWS problem that showed up once last year also.

Rebooting the back end AWS master DNS server resolved the problem before we started noticeably losing hash rate this time.
- last time I was nowhere near my computers and just with my phone and laptop but sorted it out anyway Smiley - see even AWS isn't 100% reliable Smiley

What are you saving it for? Spares are useless. Might as well submit the shares now instead of waiting till the difficulty increases.
