I Solved the last block! 228 TH farm, and i beat the difficulty by 1,397,055,137,593 That machine is going on CK solo for a little while just in case lightning strikes twice. I'm in shock. Edit: Proofs I’m so proud to have solved a block for you fine folks a half month after joining the pool. Also: slushwho?

For some reason I heard 3 notifications for this block. was in the shower, and thought OMG 3 in a row! Almost slipped trying to grab he phone to check How do I get the phone notifications? There's 2 apps listed in the first post. One for iDevices in the appstore and one for Android devices in google play.

Hashing is pseudo random ... transaction numbers are truly random ... it's all so random that it's pointless trying to find any sort of pattern.
There are no patterns to find in mining.
Old habits of trying to find an advantage are hard to break. Humans... What gives?! There is a pattern to Kano pool - higher hashrate, faster blocks, hashrate goes higher! 100PH and counting! One more before the weekend is out maybe?

Edit: Proofs What software is that? If you don’t mind answering. AwesomeMiner. GREAT software to manage a lot of machines, both GPU and ASICS. It connects to the Antminer miner's Kano API to do all sorts of cool stuff like mass pool swaps, profit switching etc. I use it because my machines are 30 minutes away and i don't want to visit each machine's IP address to make a change. Heh - changed a line in there (yeah I wrote the API) But meanwhile - I sent you a little bonus that will cover the fees for that (it should confirm in our next block) I almost changed my mind when you said you pointed the miner away ... but anyway

Just a couple of things that stood out...how do you see any third party involved if you're sending BTC from your Core to theirs? It doesn't go anywhere other than the tx network itself. Even if you're paying for something online using Bitpay or that other new(er) service (read as with Newegg, Hostwinds, etc.) they're only providing the exchange service to the seller, not you (you're not paying a premium yourself to use the service). Seems the nexus of this is where you store your coin...which subject accounts for at least a couple of hundred pages on this board... ...which is about the only place a "third party" comes in. Some of us whom have been around since the white paper (and before Mt. Gox) have pretty strong opinions in that area. Reader's Digest version...your own Core on your own computer is the safest, IMHO. Mine on. Thanks for providing an alternative. Looks like I'll have to do some research on Core. Last question: Would your suggested method be compatible with the Ledger HW.1 that I just ordered, or should I just keep mining to my paper wallet and periodically sweep everything into Core when I'm ready to do some transactions? Sorry in advance if these are noob payment questions--I've yet to actually send any Bitcoin.

Man just when I thought Sidewinder was out of miners. Hot dam! It wasn’t that long ago the pool hash rate was equal to his hash rate alone.

Just think how many times the Courier was at his place.... Please sign here, and here, and here... and here..... and here.......... I'd love to ask him what the electrical bill is in a month.
Thats about 3110 S9's @ 1100 kWh per month = 3 421 000 kWh at my rates thatw ould be about 240 000.00 a month.
But then at 40 % of each block reward... 5.2 BTC per block thats only 4 or 5 blocks to be found to pay for the electricity...
OK, SO the math works, Lets the rest of us buy more S9's!
But how many of them Bitcoin USB sticks would that be? Maybe Kano is bringing out his old collection of them? :-)

JUST A REMINDER - Becuase I have not got one single answer sent to me..... The LITTLE guy Hash Give away... The Prize - 24 Hrs of free hashing power from one of my S9's on your username. The Criteria: 1. You have to be a new miner ramping up still. 2. Your hash rate has to be at 2 Th/s or less 3. Answer the skill testing question by the deadline by Private messsage to me. 4. You have to commit to telling 2 people about the pool at some point in the near future. ( Karma is a Biatch ) :-) Deadline is 00:00:00 UTC March 27 - Mar 26 17:00 Mountain Time This date chosen since this will mark 3 months of Mining for me ( with multiple S9's, I hade one since Nov 21) The skill testing question is: What is the width of the equator? What causes the width. Hint: Friends PM Me your answers. I will pick someone with a valid answers at random, and then contact them to arrange pointing one of my S9's to thier user name so that they will be ramped up in that day instead of waiting the full ~10 days. And for legal reasons: This is just for fun, dont get mad if you dont win, its all for fun, There is no warranty, no liability etc... JUST FOR FUN! I'm hoping more of the smaller miners go buy S9's.

Kano, I'm humbled man. The solo machine is back on your pool. I dont know what the reward is, but it doesn't matter. a pool owner/operator that spends this much time in his forums, answering member questions, doing little fun giveaways, THIS is why i came to your pool. And now you've got a miner for as long as I'm mining. Thanks so much man. I also had no idea that you wrote that API! it's amazing. Cheers Mate! Thanks for kickin' ass! Shawn

Hi Kano Couple of quick questions, firstly are you planning to support the overt asic boost machines like the Dragonmint T1 that is shipping in the next few days? Second one, and please don't shoot me for asking but would you be open to starting a kano pool for bch if there was enough interest? Thanks in advance! Someone here is getting a Dragon and offered to point it at Kano.is testing pool so he can test out the changes needed - it's a few pages back in the thread. So Kano pool should get ASIC boost support, eventually I think the stand here is...no altcoins.

If it actually arrives I'll do the testing then. If not, then I'll get help from wavelengthsf as said here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg31882417#msg31882417As for BitCH coin ... well unfortunately it does have a reason for people to want to get them, and that is to buy Bitmain miners. I'm completely against altcoins coz they're all scams and BitCH coin exists as a scam also However, I've not completely counted out doing that since, of course, there's a big % of Bitmain miners on the pool. Anyway, it's not something I'll discuss, since it's not something I'd really want to do, but it may be helpful for miners on the pool, so it's not a definite no either.

If someone needs bitcoin cache (BCH) then you can always make an exchange directly in the purse (blockchain info), and create a pool for the sake of the Chinese "brothers" it seems to me that this is a waste of time and nerves )))

Shawn Hi Kano - the transaction didn’t seem to come though with the pools block confirm. It’s alright though, it was a nice gesture all the same. I’d prefer you don’t go out of your way to fix it. You do enough for the pool and especially the community, as it is. If everyone in bitcoin was like you we’d already been to the moon and back 5 timez. Acknowledgement of my message with a personal response Is enough of a reward as it is. I’m such a goddamn nerd. When I read that I actually solved a bitcoin block, in 2018, I nerded all over the place. Then when I saw my solve was 1.3T higher than current difficulty I practically shit my pants. I told my few BTC savvy friends, made a Facebook post that no one understood, cared about or even simply acknowledged. There’s about 10 replies to it, all from me, mostly related to how rare and difficult is to claim a block. Couldn’t be happier to have solved it for your pool rather than one owned by that asshole Jihan. Don’t get me wrong, I have incredible respect for the engineering marvel that is the S9, but I wish his business practices were more in line with taking bettering the coin and community. Show me one bitcointalk thread wheee Jihan interacts with one of his pool miner. That’s a major contributor to your awesomeness Anyways, thanks for being you man! Shawn

Thanks for the clarification guys! And you're welcome. I'm more than happy to have solved a BTC block in general, it's icing on the cake that it was with Kano's pool I certainly didn't expect a reward for solving a block! Thanks guys! Shawn
