So, what was up with the 37 minute shift? Did I miss something?
Diff change.
[2018-03-05 14:25:59.664+11] workinfo_add(): DIFF CHANGE: hi=512064 delta=9.42% new=3290605988755.0 prev=3007383866429.7

High yet again coz Bitmain's new miners are coming online in their data centres.
Also, could we add another to-do at the bottom of the backlog to put an indicator on the Shifts page when diff changes and restarts cause a shortened shift (similar to how you indicate blocks)? Thanks
That'd be a long way down the todo list Tongue

The shift itself doesn't know why it ended, and there's a list of reasons:
pool restart, diff change, halving, block, stale/reject/orphan
so that would involve a somewhat significant code change and a database change, thus why I've never done it,
and then a whole bunch of different indicators ... that really I doubt most people would care Smiley

There's already completed code that's in the live system since the middle of last year, that's just not activated due to needing more stringent testing, that completely redoes the shifts, so that they are always on network block boundaries.
It adds an extra level in the share summarisation, called blocksummaries.
(the posts about that are there somewhere in the thread early last year)
That's the major step needed to distribute the pool properly
(as opposed to the node hack done at the moment in ckpool that gets those 5 minute disconnects on 'rare' occasions)
Once that's done much later in the year, then remind me about it Smiley

Interesting way you phrased that... I suppose right around 100% would have the highest probability.

So ... in an attempt to get some large miners on board Smiley
I'll post  this here now and then work out how to get the attention of said larger miners ...

10 BTC giveaway to LARGE miners

Any new miner, who joined this year, with NON-RENTAL hash rate - i.e. their own miners, who shows on the rewards page a "Your N Avg" of exactly 9.5PH/s or more -
yes a large miner - for any block that they find, will get a bonus 1 BTC block finder reward.

Yep, sure. Little humble miners (50 Th or more) are not deserve even 0.1 BTC block finder reward...

yes a large miner - for any block that they find, will get a bonus 1 BTC block finder reward.

... and to get the attention of anyone half that size ...

Any new miner, who joined this year, with NON-RENTAL hash rate - i.e. their own miners, who shows on the rewards page a "Your N Avg" of exactly 5.0PH/s or more -
yes a large miner - for any block that they find, will get a bonus 0.5 BTC block finder reward.

Total rewards for a single miner are a maximum of 3 block finder rewards per miner.

Total BTC I'll be giving out will be 10 BTC i.e. a total of ten 1 BTC block finder rewards or twenty 0.5 BTC block finder rewards or a combination of both up to a total of 10 BTC limit i.e. if a total of 9.5 BTC has been given out, the last reward will be limited to 0.5 BTC.

The bonus 0.5 or 1 BTC block finder reward will not be taken from the block reward to miners - i.e. no miners will be getting paid less due to the block finder reward.
Yep, sure. Little humble miners (50 Th or more) are not deserve even 0.1 BTC block finder reward...
Well if you prefer the pool to disappear, fine, but I'm trying to keep it going by using my own BTC to get large miners ... which is what we need to do, to stop the pool falling into the depths of massive losses due to blocks spanning multiple difficulty changes - like ALL the smaller pools.

What I'm doing with the tiny 0.9% pool fees - is for the pool's sake, but is also my choice Smiley

You still get the fairest payout of all pools by mining here - lowest fees - no loss due to block finder rewards - no crappy payout systems based on share luck - even small miners get a reward here every time (not never, or every 2nd time - losing some of their small reward)

If you think you should be getting rewarded more, then you'll need to find some other (non existent) pool that does that Tongue

... also I fixed your quote to the current version of that Smiley

I'm calling 100% a little early to give the miners fair warning that it's been long enough.

Create the block already!!!

P.S. - I'm also calling it that this one has Sidewinder's name on it and this'll be the first 0.5 BTC giveaway reward!

Best of "luck"! Cool

Holy BTC!

You can work it out from the Rewards page.
"Your BTC" /  "Your N Avg"

It will be the same (for a few decimal places) for everyone (for the same block)

Edit:
512233   6/Mar 07:37   0.0002642 BTC/TH
511706   3/Mar 00:11   0.0002733 BTC/TH
511587   2/Mar 05:50   0.0002646 BTC/TH

They wont be exactly the same coz your hash rate isn't accurate down to the last place (they're only 2 places after THs)
But they are, of course, exactly the same when calculated for everyone.

My rewards page has VERY low numbers...  from defecting... :-)

I believe you call it dust.

I know...  I might be slapped for this...  but the 8500 kWh / month electrical bill needed to be paid.

Besides, I like it when the road to Bitcoin Summit ramps up and down through the mountains and valleys :-)

Yep, but it doesn't affect the BTC/TH value - that will be the same for everyone.
