Whats the reasoning behind a dozen people posting block every time the pool hits one? Makes any real information hard to find and devalues this entire thread a fair bit. It reminds me of people clapping when the plane lands, its just supposed to happen that way.
Respected! I even clap when the sun rises! So why can not I express gratitude for the found block?  Grin
Also, those that clap when a plane lands are glad to he alive--kinda like how we're glad to mine at a successful and well-ran pool. Hat tip to Kano and thoughtful contributors alike!

Mine on!

.............then there's DPoS2 and minions.
Ah, yes. I remember those old conversations... Good times.
Good times indeed!!! Hahaha!!! It was in the midst of one of DP's bash sessions, I decided I was going to start volunteering my time
to Promote for Kano. For every action, there is a reaction. Although, I don't think it was the reaction ole DP was expecting!!! Ha!!!
I'm glad we went through that tough time too and for the pool-growing ideas that came out of it (e.g. Social Media Promos, Kano's BTC Giveaway, Pass the Hash, etc.).

It's those times that make this community so great. Glad to be a spoke in the wheel. Cool

Congrats, zkirsic!

P.S. - No block! 25% block on the wall... (I'm sure this annoys some too, but it's sorta relevant). Tongue

What came first... That chicken or that dance?

I'll be out of the loop for a while.  The good ol renovations stretched from kitchen to everywhere and had me move all my furniture to the basement, and everything has to be unhooked, moved etc.  Dont worry, miners are in the garage. They will be going.

However, i probably wont have a PC hooked up for a while so I wont be able to read the forum.  IF by chance my miners find a block, hold your applause until I get everything connected back up and moved back upstairs.  might be 2 weeks..

BTCest of BTCluck for ya BTCitches  :-P

Good Friday Morning!! It's yet another gorgeous day on Kano. Is(land)! A great way to start off a long BTCig BTClock Weekend!

It is once again time to announce a winner!! We have a LOT of those on Kano. Is(land)!

After much ado, including a ritual involving a chicken and dancing, the winner of the second 1TH-4-5Nd giveaway is ... zkirsic!

Congratulations! K.P. PasstheHash is now mining for YOU on Kano Pool! You should already be seeing it, and I'll keep it up until for the next 5Nd!

I am so glad to finally get some assistance here in the sub-basement. Igor and Billy have both proven invaluable in dealing with the feral mice we use for power.

I feel particularly lucky to have found Igor. So, everyone, let me introduce Fritzssohn Igor, my assistant: https://i.imgur.com/4BhjquF.jpg
I have to tell you, I had a devil of a time getting him here from Überwald. It's been worth the effort, though. Not only does he help with power generation, but he appears to be adept at repairs. A most definite boon!

Ms. PtH was telling me today that she saw Scooby and Shaggy out in the van, cruising the island. Watch out! They have hash snax!

I normally wouldn't cut-and-run, but some stuff washed up on shore today. I'm going to take it down to the sub-basement and see what all there is here. Hopefully, there's rubber bands and mouse ration in there.

Keep up with this thread for moar developments!!!

Dear K.P. PasstheHash,
Thank you. It's a great feeling to win at this Pool. I had been mining for this Pool before, but I had to switch to SlushPool, because I had mined there before and I did not have enough for payout.
And now I'm back here with another machine and a gift. Thanks again. I think this is a great Pool and all I know I will try to persuade to move over here. Every day I read what you are writing on this forum and it's great to see that Kano and the rest of you are so engaged in this forum. I will try to buy another machine only to mine more on this Pool.
I checked and your machine PasstheHash is full operational and will rock the BTCitcoins.  Grin

Mine on with Kano-san!!!

How do I sign up for this contest?

The contest is announced in the thread, when the previous winner's reward is finished. Keep an eye out for it, and send a PM to
K. P. Pass the Hash to enter. There is usually more than one notice while the contest is going. Goodluck!!!

Notice the whiners have gone away?  They're happy with getting paid!
Be nice if we can get this long network block as well!

Why are people with common sense and calculating abilitys whiners?
You know the people that believe without any doubt what someone tells them is good? they are highly dangerous puppets...

Lets "whine" (i'd rather woul use the term "critical and asking"). ýa might learn something....
I hate it when people call others that ask interested questions "whiners". Tells me something about the name caller himself...

Not gonna set the stage for a debate, but, there are 2 different types of miners as of late:

1. The just recently fell down the rabbit hole miner. Knows very little about mining, wallets, and scares easily at the sight of a Bitcoin
price fluctuation. This miner happens to hop from pool to pool, when THEY feel like they are not getting the most out of their online
calculator daily payout. This miner can sometimes be boastful, and ask redundant questions, but disagree with any advice they haven't heard about from Google.

2. The more experienced weathered miners. These guys are very knowledgeable, but can get edgy when prodded by redundancy.  They don't scare easily at Bitcoin price fluctuations. They are in the game, and have been, for the long haul. These miners have LIVED the good and bad, the ups and downs, and generally stick to what they know works. Their experience is from learning from the members who
laid the foundation of the Bitcoin Mining Community, and some of them, are the ones who laid it.

You forgot one:
3. The just recently fell down the rabbit hole miner but has been in crypto for some time. Knows very little about mining but quite a bit regarding wallets and the fluctuations in bitcoin. They don't scare easily nor do they hop around once they made a decision but they watch intently and work to ensure they are at least being profitable to an extent.

I have added a A821 and A841 to my mining efforts here on Kano pool.
I may have to throttle back on the less profitable miners, the S7LNs, when the summer months become too warm
At the moment though I have about 70THash to add to Kano Pool.

I tried that cold wet place for a while, and though it was a regular input the input was itself cold and wet. I felt like
a very little cog in a very large machine.

I decided to go back to Kano Pool where things are not as regular and my little cog is not so overwhelmed by the
small efficient machine that is Kano Pool and its community.

Bows to Kano San, thank you for persevering in your pool running and promoting efforts.
Bows to the Kano Pool community, thank you for being the fun loving warm bunch you are.

1 S9, 2  A741s, 1 A821, 3 A841s, and full bitcoin node

I sent my scout into kano pool to check out the math.
I was a skeptic.
Kano pool wins.
It's complicated,  but with the 5n value and the fees I'm doing better on average compared to nicehash.

I'm pretty sure that's not hard to do when you add everything up.

It's not like it's a ginormous difference, but it's important to get Noobs like me make the switch. Berating them seems counterproductive.
