Trying to bring some hash back online.  Just to confirm, due to 5ND it will take 5 blocks before we get full block credit right?  So something like 4-6 weeks?Huh
It takes 500% - so that could be 20 blocks or no blocks or anywhere in between Smiley
It's not a case of getting or not getting full credit, it's a case of the total credit for every share is ALWAYS spread out over a total of 5Nd after you submit the share.
As per the little text graph I drew to explain that:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg26608107#msg26608107

So presuming average luck... how long to ramp up now?

Well the 5Nd only depends on the hash rate.
Help->Payouts currently says:
Quote
The pool hash rate for the last day is roughly 32.77PHs which means the 5Nd 'ramp' is roughly 48days 12hrs.

The monthly average has always been higher due to whales flopping in and out randomly, so it's been more than that.
The Pool->Graph shows those small spikes and the average over a longer period of time currently being 50PHs

Yes it does increase every so often then drop back down, so the 5Nd has always been less than the Payouts page says this year.
e.g. 50PHs vs 30PHs means 66.6% faster to get to 5Nd

I would be tempted to switch my other 15 miners over (I am right around 260 Th/s if I count all my ASICs) - but that wont really bump the hashrate too much - really need one of those guys with 500 miners to switch over lol

I would say go for it.

You honestly never know when one of the big fish is going to fail over, or when they are coming to stay for a month. There is no good way to time it, like it's been shown as well it's not wasted work either.

It's a tough call to reduce your reward in the short term, but it doesn't become an easier decision. You could wait for the hashrate to increase bit there is no guarantee it stays there.

yea maybe - I am hesitant to do so while the ramp up is so long. my profitability is quite low, after paying for the miners and for the electricity for a year now, I have barely 1 BTC in reserves. although that 1 btc is worth a lot more this month then it was say 2 months ago lol

and that is one reason that I have mine at my own property - if I leave, I have another friend that also mines and he can always check mine and vice versa if he is gone, I can take care of his.

Unfortunately neither works for me in this case. I had someone at work check on them and he found that the breaker feeding them had tripped. He reset the breaker and all was well for a few hours but the breaker has tripped again. Since he is clueless about checking why it tripped (other than it being overloaded) because he doesn't know how the miners actually work, things will have to wait for me to get back & check the miners/PSU's and circuit loads and if needed <shudder> take one of the miners in the bank offline to lessen the load.

Really starting to wish I had picked up a couple more M10's when they were available to start replacing the 841's...

I've removed the DE node from the list of nodes, anyone mining to de.kano.is is now switched over to nl.kano.is
The DE node has failed 3 times in the last short while, so I've given up on it.
They aren't my preferred, most reliable provider, so I've simply removed it and switch the DNS over to point to the NL node, that is with my preferred most reliable provider.
No one needs to change anything.

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find an option in the pool to receive email alerts once my miner gets offline or the hashrate drops below normal (one of the hashboards gets stuck and reboot is needed). Is there such an option and where can I find it?

Thank you in advance!
