We open sales in USD https://112bit.com

Even with free electricity you wouldn't get all your money back. These manufacturers must have gotten together and made a deal with one another to keep a certain price point. I'm not sure why anyone would spend that kind of money for only 2TH? It just doesn't make any sense to buy something that's supposed to make you a little money, but guaranteed not to and you still buy it? Maybe drugs or something?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

So is anyone willing to admit that they've actually bought one?   Grin

I bought one, and maybe I am the only one that is willing to admit that.

Well... I am betting against the S4 due to pricing, but not against my fellow miner. In fact, I commend you for being willing to stand up against the many pages of unhappiness and acknowledging that you are carrying on the pioneering spirit of mining against the odds. I saved up 3.00 BTC in anticipation of the S4 release, having decided that 3.00 was the most I would spend, and then was thwarted by the price coming in over 3.9 including shipping.

I ended up saving some coin by not buying the S3 until the plus was announced. I got a better deal and better equipment... even if a worse difficulty. After seeing the calculations, I am hoping to pick up a used S4 in 2-3 months for 2.5 or less once the first generation of S4 owners become frustrated and sell off their miners to regain what they can from them while they still have value.

It's like buying a previously leased a car. I'm letting the first owner take the hit on it from the car lot finance guy, and then I'll pick it up affordably once it's got some miles on it.

-OCS

Interesting but flawed logic. An S4 in 2 or 3 months will have so little value because of difficulty adjustments. If you're willing to pay 2.5 BTC for it then, then you've made an even worse decision than buying it now. And buying now is a horrible decision if you have even the slightest interest in recouping your investment.

I see that people are buying them... how crazy it is ? I mean if you are using 2.5 BTC to buy the 2 th that would make you .9 btc you just lost about 1.7 btc may as well just buy the bitcoin with cash... 2 more months at this rate and bitcoin mining will be dead and 51% attack would be possible... POW is the flaw of bitcoin i believe...

Not positive why people would sell them if they had not made ROI, seems like you may have a flawed logic .

Beware. This is different than every other product that Bitmain have sold in the past. Shipping is NOT included in the price unlike past products.

And what's with the misleading efficiency chart? The text clearly states that it is .69w/GHs but the chart show .4w/GHs.

Does it mean it will be possible to underclock/undervolt it via the user interface and get the 1008 GHz @ 481W performance?

So there will be no S2 upgrade kits?   Cry

Bitmain

When is the s3 coming back? Really disappointed with S4 price sold a load of gear since I needed a bit of cash and some coin so I could get these and the price is just shocking, are you planning on doing the same to the s3 since that now shows a postage weight?

well that would be helpful.

also  a freq of 150 may allow for  900 watts and 1650 gh   say .5454 watts a gh
This helps the gear earn enough money  longer for power.  Maybe 30 more days of mining. I will need to wait for this item to be tested and for the price to drop.
