Seems as though there is some problems with myr-groestl and skein on ccminer. Comparing it to the Tpruvot version myr-gr, the SP version produces higher hashrates even though the hashrate is much lower poolside. The SP is reporting about 50% higher hashrate, however poolside it is operating about at 10% of the Trpuvot version.

Looks like a problem with the diff on the poolside. Try to run with --diff 2 or --diff 0.5.
I haven't tested the skein algo in a while, but it worked on yaamp some months ago when I optimized it.

Some pools are cheating by accepting low difficulty shares and weight them equal to shares that are 2x more difficult to find.

Already tried --diff and it didn't work. It lowers rejects on the client, but massively increases rejects on the pool. The Tpruvot doesn't require said options though. Also doesn't work properly on other pools. Tried two others, where as the Tpruvot version works.

Well someone did a very impressive job at creating the ultimate eth kernel, and now this dude is blatantly reselling this piece of craftsmanship: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1205258.0 because he needs money! Holy batman copyspeed kernel, who made this!? I just need to know how it was done!

i posted a couple of questions to see what the answers will be ...

so far - nada ...

i have also 'heard' ( by means of pm ) that the whole thing is a ripoff and contains a trojan that will try and hack your wallet accounts ...

genoil - the chances are that if you and the other devs are having one hell of a time to get THOSE type of hashrates - then the app ( and the guy doing it ) is a lie to try and scam people out of their btc ...

in this case - it certainly is ...

be careful guys - especially windows based miners ( unless its from a well respected dev ) ...

and tanx to those of you who messaged about it ...

#crysx

Looking at the GPU usage on the screenshot I don't think it's legit.

They said they wanted to use Escrow, they can test it.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

Thanks for testing. I will take a look.

Looking at the GPU usage on the screenshot I don't think it's legit.

They said they wanted to use Escrow, they can test it.

one of the ones that messaged me about it - did ...

the miner was not running no matter which configuration he tried - AND - he got notifications that some of his accounts were being hacked ( gmail etc ) ...

lucky his btc wallet was encrypted too ...

i have been approached by MANY 'sellers' directly also - claiming that their quark and lyra2rev2 miners are hashing 25-50% faster than the public miners ( via pm here and skype also ) ... one russian seller even let me log in via teamviewer to his 'running' machine - but disabled accessibility from his end so that i couldnt see the miner itself - 'showing' me the hashrates ( which can easily be faked ) ...

and what do you know - its ONLY windows based ... not one of them can show me a linux based miner - or provide me with source for the miner ...

i dont trust any of these 'sellers' unless it comes from a reputable dev ... hence why i only purchase from the devs ive been dealing with AND the ones that have a respectable reputation ...

be very careful - escrow means nothing when the software you are installing 'looks' like it starts to work - only to have crashes and json errors ...

those are apparently the results that were coming from the guy that tested it and paid the small btc sum for that test ... lucky he only lost a small amount ...

2 sp_
Latest github compile is 20-30khs slower then release 70 on lyra2v2. gtx750, win7x64, cuda6.5 x32 build.

yes, I tested last night. The latest is slower on the 750/750ti. I will fix it.

its also slightly slower on c7.5 ...

it used to be faster ...

I wouldn't trust someone selling someone else miner ;-)
It may be just a modified miner with "1.5 *" added to hashrate calculation and... maybe some trojan as well ;-)
Unless he's selling the kernel source, of course, but I don't think so.

And such is the way of private miners. I'm sure whoever made it has some pretty pissed off clients now. It would explain why Ethereum seems to be being mined into the ground more then 'free power'.

2 Miillion Etherum coins have been mined so far, and many of them are dumped. Everyday coins are being dumped, and the price is falling.
This is natural when you start with a coin that offers no innovation and is worth millions at launch. No stratum support, no GUI wallet, no marketing, linux only.
This is a clear bubble coin and should be avoided. Mine and dump it..
They might have to go POS like the other shitcoins out there.

Oh well, at least I got a taste of how to program in CUDA, which was whole reason I rolled into this.

For n-factor 15 I get:
750 Ti: 1.26khs (-L 5 -l t5x16)
970: 3.27khs (-L 10 -l t13x24)
N-factor 16:
750 Ti: 0.53khs (-L5 -l t5x15)
970: 1.15 (-L 14 -l t13x28)
Correction: the numbers above are from Ubuntu with stock speeds and not from Windows.
Actual Windows + OC hashrates for N factor 16:
750 Ti: 0.36khs (-L 9 -l t5x14)
970: 0.97khs (-L 19 -l t13x23)
The N factor 15 hashrates are much closer (Win7+OC = Ubuntu Stock).
So yeah, LEO is linux only from here on out.

I wonder why they make POW algorithms that can't be mined on windows.

Apparently with this n-factor, the dataset grows over 1GB...well you get the idea.

Uhm it seems the the 970 suffers from the same slowdown at above ~2.1 GB.
At about double the point from a 750ti (~1.05GB) ...

Interesting.

I started this thread 17-oct-2014 and now it has got over 400 000 views.  (More than 1000 views per day)

In 3 days we have a 1 year anniversary. I should put a birthday present into release 71. Smiley

71 releases in 365 days. A new binary every 1.3 Week.

That's dedication. Thank you!
